Description

A few meters away from the Loire river, our garden is ready to welcome you!
Located on the banks of the Loire, in Varades, our house is in a dead-end street, isolated.
Quiet and peaceful setting

The setting

Small garden with trees in front of the house for the tents, and parking at the back for the more equipped (camping car and van) overlooking fields of cows.
We are a few meters from the railroad, where about 30 trains run during the day - but not between 11pm and 6am.

Shady and flat land, very easy to access

Independent dry toilets in the garage + (email hidden)Shower and washbasin at home but solar shower outside being installed (available this summer)

Poor internet connection but available.
Cooking at our place - schedules to be agreed upon - an independent kitchen in a truck is in progress. All kitchen equipment is available.

The activities

Walks or bike rides along the Loire River. Equestrian center at 3 kilometers. Visit of St Florent le Vieil at 5 kilometers : its abbey church, Julien Gracq museum.
Canoeing at Notre dame du Marillais - 8 kilometers (on the other side of the Loire)
Guingettes (ephemeral open-air bars with animation and catering): la Drainguette (8 kilometers) and la Guinchette (Montrelais - 10 kilometers)

Other things

Small shops (bakery, pharmacy...) and Super U at 5 kilometers

    We didn't have much time to enjoy our hosts, but the exchange was friendly and natural. They leave you free access and the house open, a house with a large plot and fields surrounding it.
    The railway is close by, but you'll enjoy a quiet night's sleep. We'll be back for sure...
