Here it is the peace and the nature which welcome you, in front of the massif of Vercors in Isère. You can enjoy camping in this unusual and isolated place, while being relatively close to civilization...
A setting adapted to discover a magnificent region far from the beaten tracks and close to the essential.

The setting

We are in the green hills of the Chambarans forest which face the foothills of the Vercors massif.
The land is located in the commune of Notre Dame de l'Osier in Isère, a small, pleasant and welcoming village with a miraculous history, with its market and its cocagne gardens.
You will have to take a 1 kilometer drive down a chestnut forest to arrive in a clearing.
The land is in the middle of meadows surrounded by woods with a clear view on the Vercors.
The atmosphere is calm, no neighbors,
We are rarely disturbed by cows in autumn and a few hikers who take the route de Pays which passes by.
Sensitive to environmental issues and natural harmony, the land is planted with vegetables and fruit trees grown with passion that we can share with the seasons and according to the moods of the land.
There is the bellowing of the roe deer, the hooting of the owl, the yapping of the foxes...
The atmosphere will please nature lovers used to bivouacs.
The site is exposed to the South East, on a hillside, which means that the sun rises early and sets early.
To admire the magnificent sunsets, you will have to go to the top of the hill, 15 minutes away on foot, where you will find the orientation table of the village which overlooks the Isère valley and the Pays Sud Grésivaudan.

The spots

The pitches are spread over several terraces in the middle of the gardens and the large vegetable garden.
In the center of the site is a large chalet that serves as a workshop where you can store your equipment in a dry place if necessary.
On the lower terrace is a converted school bus.
A van or a small truck can be set up in the center of the field but there are also a few flat spots around to park vehicles if needed.
The upper terrace can accommodate several tents on a flat grassy area about 6 meters wide and 40 meters long.
We live in a hut at the top of the property and there is enough space to limit the view.
The path between the terraces is mainly on foot and the facilities are basic, you will need to be well shod.
There is some shade or sun depending on the location in the morning or in the evening...

The sanitary facilities

Here it is dry toilet and shower in the open air.
We can provide portable camping equipment (solar shower, portable dry toilet).
There is a central water point and an outdoor sink.

The amenities

We are not connected to the electrical grid, which means there is no Wifi. There is 4G coverage, which allows for shared connections with cell phones.
Electricity is produced by solar panels: it is possible to charge phones and computers in our hut or in the bus depending on its occupation.
