Description

Welcome to l'Oustaou.
I welcome you at the foot of our beautiful village of Roussillon. The plot is located just below the Castrum cliff. The village is a 3-minute walk away, so you'll be both in a natural setting and close to all amenities.

The setting

Our shady grounds are planted with oaks, pines and cedars, and among them...you'll have my horse Farouk as a curious companion.
The plot has its own entrance, so you can come and go as you please.

The spots

The top of the site is dedicated to mini-van access and car parking. The tents can no longer be set up on the rest of the site for redevelopment reasons, so I'm proposing the same flat site as for the vans (see photo).

There is only one flat pitch next to the water access (sunny from 12pm to 5pm), the rest of the site is very well shaded, but is being redeveloped for other projects (info updated April 2024).

The sanitary facilities

Dry toilets are available in a separate cabin. You'll find everything you need.

Access to cold water is available on site with a simple tap.

The amenities

You will have access to electricity. An extension cord can be provided if required.

The activities

The village itself is an incredible discovery. Take a stroll along the Sentier des Ocres, the village's old quarry. You can stroll through the narrow streets, stop off at the stores or have a drink overlooking the Val des Fées, for example.
Numerous activities/tours are organized at the Conservatoire de la Couleur (former Mathieu factory) just outside the village on the way to Apt.
Once you leave the grounds, you'll have direct access to the GR hiking trail for short or long hikes: on foot, by bike or even on horseback.
You can also visit neighboring villages: Gordes (12 minutes), Bonnieux, Lacoste, Oppède le Vieux (10-15 minutes), Saint Saturnin/Goult (10 minutes).

Other things

As you can see, our grounds are close to our 4-legged friends, so you can bring your mounts. A park will be reserved for them, and the feed ration is extra: price fixed according to the number of horses accommodated. Information to be requested directly by email when booking.

Rules

Access: in front of the road, at the letterboxes, take the left-hand path between the hedge and the neighbors' mound (ATTENTION: do not go down the path).
Arrival can be from 10 a.m. and maximum departure at 12 p.m.

For the sake of our friend the Earth, all waste must of course be disposed of in the appropriate containers.
Fires are strictly forbidden given the location and the dryness of the soil. Smokers are asked to be careful and respect the site (no butts on the ground).

Pets are allowed, but we have free-range chickens and a cat. Dogs and other animals must be respected, even if the chickens never go onto the campers' land. Thank you

Children must always be accompanied by an adult when visiting the horses.
Thank you

  • 1st experience for me and my teenage daughter (with the requirements due to age) and we are delighted with this stay with Eva, who was caring and welcoming in a quiet and clean setting 2 steps from the village of Roussillon.
    We'll be back very soon!

  • Great stay with an ideal location near the village and a very warm welcome from Eva.
    I highly recommend it.

  • Very pleasant stopover for a cycling road trip in the Luberon. Very warm welcome, Olympian calm, just a stone's throw from the village. I recommend it.

  • Very warm welcome from Eva in a charming setting in the company of horses
    Particularly well-maintained sanitary facilities

  • Thanks to Eva, who was charming and welcomed us with a smile. The pitches are around the horse park, under magnificent trees. It's very quiet and restful, with the birds singing. The village is just a 5-minute walk away.
Logistics: we have a 5.5m-long VAN; chocks essential; "adorable" toilet.
We stayed 2 nights but will be back with pleasure. Very good memories!

  • Very pretty and quiet place
The horses are very friendly and curious about our movements
A treat to watch them in the morning
Thanks for the easy welcome (flexible hours) ????

  • Delighted with this reservation. Everything is great.

  • Eva is very welcoming, the grounds are shady and pleasant, and the facilities are well-maintained and tastefully decorated :)
    Thank you very much!

  • A perfect stopover on the road to the south. Everything you need is here, in a quiet spot under the trees, just a few minutes' walk from the Place de Roussillon. Just perfect. Thank you so much!

  • Very good welcome, dry toilet super nice ????

  • It was our first time homecamping and our experience at Eva's made us want to do it again. Eva is a lovely person with great advice on visiting her beautiful region. It was great to meet her and her family at the little market in Goult. Thanks to them for telling us where to find delicious olive oil.
The grounds and dry toilets are very well maintained. And the icing on the cake, when we woke up her magnificent horse was there to say hello.

  • Very warm welcome from Eva. The setting is magnificent, the grounds very well equipped. I would recommend

  • A perfect stay !!! Everything was perfect !!!
For a first experience with Home camper I really wasn't disappointed !!! Eva was great, the welcome, the communication, the sympathy, I recommend her with my eyes closed !!!
Top location, you can do a lot on foot.
The setting is ideal if you want to get away from it all and get close to nature.
    Thanks again for everything!

  • A very nice stay here, we recommend it!

  • Great welcome at Eva's!
The nature site next to her horse is very well located, as you can walk to visit Roussillon and the Sentier des Ocres. The site is in the shade in the morning and you wake up in front of the horse.
We only stayed one night, but would gladly have stayed longer.
    Thank you very much!

  • A wonderful encounter with the host and the place... at the foot of the village of Roussillon.
Tastefully decorated and well-maintained sanitary facilities.
Enjoyable cohabitation with Farouk, a magnificent horse who's only too happy for company.

    Eva's warm welcome.
HomeCampers like this make a trip to the Luberon so much more enjoyable!
    Thank you
    Francis

  • Pleasant and quiet place. We were very well received.

  • Eva's warm welcome in a peaceful setting...

  • Very friendly hostess. Small hut with dry toilets well designed and nicely decorated. The 3 animals came to visit us and let themselves be approached for our greatest pleasure.
Be careful with the sloping ground except for the place where we were parked!
