Description

This is a new yurt (erected at the end of July 2023) on a somewhat wild site, behind a ruin I have on the grounds. The whole thing is 1 meter from a forest, which incidentally contains the outhouse.

The site is a bit wild, behind a ruin I have on the grounds. The whole thing is one meter from a forest, which incidentally contains the outhouse. Shower cubicle on the other side. Absolute calm. The silence is underlined by the chatter of birds, sometimes at night by owls (white ladies).

The amenities

Summer kitchen in a small barn 20 meters away. Electricity only in the kitchen. But battery-operated LED lights in the yurt. Also to show you the way at night.

The activities

In the morning, you can have coffee two km away (by taking the road or crossing the countryside) in a restaurant/café that opens at 9.00 or 9.30 am. )
You'll have all the hiking trails of the Périgord Vert (which isn't green for nothing), a tourist lake (with quiet spots) a few km away.
You can also visit the Venice of Périgord, Brantôme. Various markets (night markets) or Périgueux, further afield Bergerac........... (allow a good hour and a half's drive).

I'm sorry, but I can't accept animals. My Newton keeps getting attacked (even by the "good guys"). I think he has the right to be left alone. He, on the other hand, is hyper-friendly, though impressive.
