Description

Welcome to the countryside! Come and pitch your tent to enjoy the landscape and the beautiful place.

The setting

Along a country road, the place is accessible and quiet. The house is located at the top of the property offering a beautiful view on the countryside. The Vanne river flows down the property (before flowing into the Sienna at 1 km, which in turn flows into the sea through the Havre de la Sienna). We rent canoes for the descent of the Sienne (more info in the "activities" section)

The village of Quettreville-sur-Sienne is located at 2 kilometers where you will find a bakery, a doctor, a pharmacy, a tobacconist's, a post office, bars & restaurants...

The sea is 9 km away, accessible by country roads. You can find large sandy beaches very popular as Hauteville-sur-Mer or Agon-Coutainville, or wilder beaches as Annoville. For your information, at low tide, the sea retreats to leave 2 km of beach.

The city of Coutances is 8 km away where you will find a train station, cinema, hospital, stores...

The spots

For the tents, in the shade of the apple trees or in an isolated corner, you can make a small fire to spend the evening.

For the campers, a place with a view on the countryside and the wheels on the stones is reserved for you.

The sanitary facilities

Unfortunately, the bathrooms and toilets are reserved for the guest rooms. However, it is possible to help in case of emergency.

The activities

The activities around it are multiple. Here are some ideas:

- Canoeing : The descent of the Sienne river starts between the fields (2h00 of course), continues in the magnificent Havre de la Sienne (2h30 of course) to finish in the (email hidden)It is possible to do only one or the other part.
>> We rent 3 canoes, for 2 adults and 1 child each (9 places) with paddles and life jackets, and transport the canoes to the place of departure and arrival.
Half day = 30 € per canoe
Day = 50 € per canoe

- Walks, hikes and tourist spots:
Hundreds of walks and points of interest around the FOLIA House

- Water sports : We have a catamaran (newcat 16), if you practice, we can discuss it. Other than that, catamaran, stand up paddle and sand yacht rental in Hauteville-sur-Mer.

- Climbing : Montmartin-sur-Mer is famous for its large natural climbing wall.

Places of interest a little further away :
- Granville = 25 min (departure for Jersey and the Chausey Islands)
- Landing beaches = 50 min
- The Mont Saint-Michel = 60 min
- Siouville : THE surf spot in lower Normandy = 65 min
- Caen : 70 min
- Cherbourg : 80 min

Situation

  • Bonjour, suite a mon passage à la Maison Folia nos aventures continue bien reposé , sur la Maison Folia nous avons demandé un endroit calme et nous et survie, à grand merci à à toutes. Et à bientôt. Peter et Luisa.

  • Un accueil très sympathique , des hôtes aux petits soins ( petit déj commandé à l'improviste et Soula nous à fait des crêpes et ramenée cerises du marché , un délice ,)
    Un petit emplacement parfait avec un terrain plat et un emplacement sous les pommiers qui permet d'avoir de l'ombre le matin , avec une vue sur la campagne normande . Tip top :)

  • Benoit et sa femme nous ont chaleureusement accueillis sur ce long week-end de l'Assomption dans leur jardin. Le site correspond exactement à ce qui est présenté et nous avons pu accéder à la SDB, aux toilettes etc... La vue depuis notre emplacement était superbe et dans l'ambiance de cette escapade verdoyante ! Benoit a toujours été à l'écoute et nous avons ainsi pu profiter au maximum de notre séjour dans la Manche. C'était notre 1ère expérience de Gamping mais nous recommandons vivement ces hôtes pour vos séjours dans la région !

  • Première expérience pour nous de gamping très positive. Nous avons eu un très bon accueil. Benoit et Soulia sont disponibles et attentifs à leurs gampeurs ! Nous avons passé une bonne nuit au calme sous les pommiers et en face des vaches.
