  • Very good, straightforward stay, nothing to complain about.

  • Very friendly welcome and relaxing setting

  • We were very well looked after by Xavier. The place is very pleasant, in the middle of the forest.
The little hut for shelter in case of rain is very useful.

  • Xavier was very friendly despite our personal problems which meant we arrived several hours late.
The place is charming and well maintained, the stay was short but nevertheless we enjoyed the place. If the opportunity arises, I will return with pleasure and this time for a slightly longer stay in other circumstances and on time.
    Thank you Xavier.

  • Slept well in a quiet location. Water bottle available.

  • I spent a week in the heart of nature in this superb place.
Xavier talks about his chestnut trees, the animals that live in this forest,
    the history of his region.
The attached photo will show you how to get there.

  • The location is secluded, behind a small village, so you can relax. Xavier is available to welcome you and quickly leaves the site free for you to relax and get comfortable.
Access is difficult, but possible with a trail bike if it hasn't rained too much.

  • Very good moments in the forest.
    Very peaceful setting.

  • Perfect reception and ideal ground especially in case of strong heat. Thank you again!

  • It's really what we were looking for, camping in the forest, what a pleasure to discuss near the fire in the evening at the foot of the majestic trees. Xavier teaches us a lot about the forests, I am delighted to have met him.

  • The communication with Xavier was precise.
At the end of August we were hiking in the area, the site is geographically well placed in this sense.
The bivouac site is globally calm and the chestnut grove has some character. A reserve of 20 liters of water was provided to us.
I keep the address under the elbow!

  • The chestnut grove is a magical place. We arrived after the storm and the forest was beautiful.
There is a 20L canister that allows you to do your toilet at the camp. The dry toilets are not in a great state after the visit of a deer, but the place is really worth to be discovered in spite of this small defect!
A little more compared to the pictures: there is now a hut under construction, which is not totally waterproof but allows to shelter the stuff in case of heavy rain (by the way, a tip, take a tarp and some string to make a roof under the tent, easy with all these trees around).
Thanks a lot for the welcome!

  • Perched in the middle of the forest, Xavier's little camp is great. It is around a campfire that we spent a night in peace. I recommend

  • Xavier welcomed us very well in his chestnut grove! We spent a great evening in the middle of nature, with the campfire and the sound of nature
We will remember for a long time this unusual and refreshing camp

  • Xavier is friendly.
The camp is good for 1 or 2 nights.

  • We had a great night with our family.
    We recommend it!

  • Really great place, unfortunately for us it was stormy the night we stayed so we couldn't enjoy the campfire, which is a very nice possibility.
The host is also very nice!

  • Perfect place for those who love the forest with the possibility of a campfire, while being close to civilization!
    Xavier is a considerate host.

  • Great night spent at Xavier's. Very welcoming, small corner of nature very pleasant

  • An ideal space for a nature discovery and campfire.

  • Pleasant camping in a secluded corner of the property

  • Simply perfect. Wild, what I was looking for, an hour from town, down the mountain. Xavier is a nice hotel, teachable, and generous. He gave me many tips about edible plants, the best markets in the area, and even brought me pancakes one night. He even brought me pancakes one night and good wood to start the fires. A real plus on this field, well located, only hitch there is a very small road not far for the tractors of the farmers, and sometimes it is necessary to get up early, and the chestnuts that stings, so take good shoes. This is just some advice because the experience is to be made, the quality of the reception, the dry toilets, the possibility to make fires, and the approach to the nature is superb. I highly recommend it.

  • Thank you Xavier! The land is perfect and quiet.
