Description

I've set up this social project to meet people and share my place and this beautiful region that I love so much.
To participate in this project (installation of an outdoor shower, games for children, etc..) I put a hat and free to give more or less.

The setting

Franchesse has a post office in the town hall, a bakery, a café/restaurant and a small grocery store. 8km away in Bourbon l'Archambault (spa town) you'll find supermarkets, organic stores, butchers, etc., a Saturday morning market with local produce, vegetables, bread, cheese, organic chicken, banks, post office, doctors, physiotherapists, osteopaths, dentists...

The spots

The location depends on your wishes, and there's plenty of flat land, so whether you want to bivouac as you did on your first vacation or camp in the wild, everything is possible.

The sanitary facilities

there are dry toilets, a cold water point with sink and you can shower at my place (1euro)

The amenities

I can provide a tent (2 to 6 people) or caravan (2 places) and if the weather turns too stormy, there is a room in the house (2 people) or family with 2 extra beds, with an independent outside staircase, sheets and blankets with a supplement of 4 euros.
There's a small outdoor shelter with a gas stove and an independent fridge available (in the house but with independent access, tables and chairs and if you come with nothing I'll be happy to lend you a plate and a saucepan :-).I can provide an extension cord for electricity if needed, or charge mobiles at home.

The activities

there are some great hiking trails nearby (the famous Tronçais forest is 32km away), Romanesque churches and museums. check out the bourbon l'archambault tourist office website.
The GR300 (Chemin de Compostelle) covers 145km of the Allier département, entering it at Sancoins to the north and leaving it at Vialleix, near Ebreuil, to the south. To the south, the route continues towards Clermont-Ferrand, and from there to Le Puy-en-Velay. It recently passed near Franchesse.
Le Pal amusement park is 56km away, Moulins with its cathedral and museums 30km away (CNCS/Centre national du costume et de la scène, MIJ/musée de l'illustration jeunesse, Musée Anne de Beaujeu), its Allier river with beach and swimming and canoeing facilities.

Other things

I take care of my farmhouse, 1hectare7 is a lot of work, maintenance, I make my firewood and recently I made my first solar hive (in rye straw) now I'm waiting for the bees. I'm going to sow rye to have straw because I want to make other hives.

Rules

respect for the site is the first rule, but beware of noise after 10pm, as it carries a long way in the countryside.
i have a cat and a nice 6 year old dog (labrador:dalmatian cross), be careful if you come with animals. we practice selective sorting and there is plenty of space to put your garbage in the barn, kitchen waste can go in the compost. i prefer, as far as possible, organic and ecological products for maintenance, cleaning, showering...

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€6 / person)

I offer coffee (tea, herbal tea) and can make a breakfast according to your desires, sweet or savory.

Tent ready

Tent from 2 to 6 places (supplement 15 euros once) but without mattresses (for the moment) and comforters.
and possibility of sleeping in a caravan (2 places)), I provide sheets and blankets for 4 euros.

  • Yoann and Laeticia have a sense of sharing, and a taste for dialogue and nature.
On the grounds adjoining this former farmhouse, in a peaceful setting, the vegetation flourishes and offers a restful setting for pitching a tent.
An address to remember on your way to or from vacation.

  • Yoann is very welcoming and nice, with him, we can easily chat; nice ground, shady, various accommodation possibilities. I would like to go back there.

  • I stopped for one night at Yoann's place. The place is peaceful in the middle of nature, and above all I was very welcome. I spent a great evening with welcoming people who make you feel at ease right away.
    Thanks to you all.

  • Great welcome from Yoann and Laeticia, quiet and shady place to pitch the tent, outdoor equipment where nothing is missing, we had a great time and can only recommend to stop there!

  • We stayed one night and Yoann and his girlfriend Laetitia pampered us like at home. The garden is very pleasant and a little wild. We had a great time together and we will come back with pleasure!

  • Super stay at Yoann's place, although short on the way back. We discovered with admiration the forest of Tronçais... and we discussed vegetable garden and plantations with a very sympathetic host and very involved in the region! The weather was so nice that we slept under the big box tree. Thanks and see you soon, elena and company
