Description

Suitable for lovers of open spaces, but not isolated.
Ideally located for visiting the Gorges du Verdon (between the right and left banks).

The setting

Exceptional location overlooking the Verdon gorges.
Swimming in the Verdon and its lakes.
Unique tourist site in Europe (largest canyon in Europe).
Absolute peace and quiet in the middle of a large meadow dotted with pine and oak trees.
Property away from traffic, served by a communal road ending in a cul-de-sac.

The spots

Choice of location, no particular constraints.
Open plots in both sun and shade, few neighbors, the terrain is not uniformly flat but offers enough space to find a comfortable spot.
Easy access.

The sanitary facilities

Drinking water available (no hot water).
Water point near the dry toilets.
The shower is solar-powered, so the heat of the water depends on the time of day and, of course, the amount of sunlight; swimwear is strongly recommended.

The amenities

Electricity is located outside the house, and cell phones can be charged free of charge.
A fee of five euros per day is charged for a permanent caravan electrical connection.
Tent rental for 2 people: 3 euros/night.
Washing machine available: 3 euros/machine.

The activities

Canyoning, climbing, village visits (Moustiers Sainte Marie; Rougon; Trigance; Castellane; Sentier Martel; Bargeme; Plateau de Valensole and its endless lavender fields...). )

Other things

Suitable for lovers of open spaces, but not isolated.
Ideally located for visiting the Gorges du Verdon (between the right and left banks).

  • Pleasant setting but needs improvement. Ideal for van/camping-car.

  • We had a wonderful stay with Jean-Marc! The view is incredible up there. Being so close to beautiful cities, water, and nature was simply unparalleled. Jean-Marc was very very kind and super helpful when we needed something. We will be back!

  • Great host! Wonderfull place!
    Bart

  • A very friendly welcome!
Super pleasant grounds and environment with a beautiful view.
    Thank you J-M

  • Magnificent location and view.
No light pollution, so if the sky is clear, come and admire the stars.
Our host was very welcoming and available.
Don't be afraid of the solar shower, it's insulated and very hot in summer.
    thank you

  • Jean Marc welcomed us very kind and friendly. We had the opportunity to choose our pitch to stay. No matter where your motorhome stands, the view is absolutely incredible. It is absolutely quiet in the night, so we had a very calm and resting stay for our one night. A proper shower and WC would make it even better. But everything was as specified and we would come back anytime. Thanks, Jean Marc, for the great stay ☺️????

  • Jean Marc is a great host, and his plot has a magnificent view!
What's more, we were made to feel very welcome by Jean Marc, who took the time to explain to us everything his plot had to offer, such as a shower, dry toilets and a tap with drinking water, which was obviously accessible to us :)
He was also able to guide us to find a nice place to have dinner,
One thing's for sure: we won't forget this good address and we'll be happy to return :)
If you want a nice place, where you feel safe and where you can wash up, I invite you to go to Jean Marc's :)

  • quiet location with magnificent views.
the services indicated are somewhat different from reality.
electricity: choice between running the fridge (on the grass) or 1 socket to share with everyone.
shower: for the prudish, this can be a problem... and for the chilly too, but it's warm!
toilet: living in the countryside, I'm familiar with the dry toilet system, which was used by my grandparents, but I doubt that the owner himself can use it, and above all, don't lean on the walls or you'll end up lying on the grass with the hut on top of you :-))))
In fact, only count on the service "place with a view" and be autonomous for the rest, but in this case, the price is not justified.
Sorry for the negative comment, we take this as a fun experience, but we have found much better and in the same price range.

  • Superb starry night, and a very warm welcome from Jean-Baptiste. All the best!

  • Great weekend, thank you for the welcome !

  • We had a perfect holiday on this lovely place with stunning views. Charming and extremely helpful host. Merci Jean-Marc!

  • Very good welcome, location with a beautiful view and quiet, Jean Marc helped us well to install our caravan. Thanks again.

  • Very pleasant stay at Jean Marc's, the setting is perfect with a magnificent view. We will come back without hesitation.

  • We had a wonderful stay in this magnificent place. The views are exceptional and we experienced all the weather.

  • ????

  • This is a magical place with amazing views. Jean Marc is charming and helpful

  • Super setting, the view is breathtaking,
very warm welcome, the only small drawback is the access which is rather difficult in motor home, but once installed you quickly forget this small detail.

  • At the top of the top. The place is large with a superb view. Jean-Marc is a great host who knows how to make you feel comfortable and to take care of you. This place is simply regenerating I extend my stay gladly!

  • No surprises, everything is as advertised. The previous comments do not lie!!! The setting was breathtaking, and Jean Marc was incredibly kind and caring! We are delighted with our night there. We recommend this place for a return to the roots very resourcing ????

  • We spent a night with our 3 children in a roof tent. The landscape is just beautiful, a perfect location. The children loved the "labyrinth" to access the shower. A total change of scenery. Thanks to Jean Marc for his welcome.

  • We spent 2 nights at Jean Marc's place ! Super spot, sublime view . Jean Marc is very nice, welcoming, he helped us to maneuver our small caravan ???????? and advised us beautiful places. Gamping strongly recommended !

  • Great site for nature lovers, exceptional view. Very warm and attentive host. A great time spent there, we highly recommend!

  • Perfect

  • Also a first experience where we joined friends. The setting is very natural with lots of space and a beautiful view of the mountains. The outdoor shower is nice and refreshing in this heat. The dry toilets are not very practical, to be revised, we can't stand with the door closed, but we deserve to exist .... The kitchen area once completed will be a plus. The small fridge at your disposal is a plus as well as the electric plug to recharge. The reception of Jean-Marc was very good with information on the surroundings, shops, and what to visit...

  • It was great! The location was great and Jean-Marc was great! Outdoor showers and dry toilets available. To be redone ????

  • First experience in tent, first rather successful. The place is well located, medieval village of Trigance with bakery, restaurant, grocery store not far, Castellane with all amenities (Supermarket Casino, etc.) at about 30 mn. The land is large, slightly sloping and not very wooded. We were the only camper, which gave us a certain freedom especially for our dog. Mr. Barberis is nice and gives us information about the region. The lake of Castillon is very good but you have to bring your own parasol. Restaurant, bakery mills of suns to 2mn by car of the camper.
Otherwise the shower could use a bigger slab of cleanliness to be able to put your shoes back on (a small bench would be useful too). The door of the toilet is very close to the knees which is a little embarrassing. And finally the next summer kitchen will be a big plus. A sink to wash the dishes with a barbecue area and a fridge (Mr Barberis provides a small fridge, essential for hot weather) as well as the possibility to recharge phones (essential for teenagers). The gite is very beautiful and the couple present during our stay very nice.
In short, a good first experience. We thank our host.

  • Crazy setting in the middle of nature, small solar shower and tent loan, provision of a fridge and plugs, summer kitchen in preparation ...
Back to basics guaranteed with a little comfort and Jean Marc very nice !

  • Welcoming host, shady area, beautiful view

  • Super stay, the land is very well located in a quiet area and close to the entrance of the gorges.

  • Jean-Marc could not have been more accommodating. The location is just sublime with panoramic views to die for.

    We will be back

    Merci Jean-Marc

  • Great night! The location is beautiful with a view of the surrounding mountains, the reception is very nice too!

  • We were on a bike tour, and during the All Saints' Day vacations, most of the campsites are closed. We tested Jean-Marc's homecamp, we were very well received, he adapted to the fact that we were on a bike and that in the early morning it was 2 degrees, thanks to him.
What I would improve: the dry toilets. It would be nice to have more privacy, I would surround them with a wooden hut, I find it too light in terms of vis à vis compared to the neighbors and/or other campers.

  • Last minute reservation for 2 nights. Jean-Marc accepted quickly even though there was little space left (each pitch has a fairly large space). The location was very good and we had a pleasant stay.

  • Reception and location at the top! A breathtaking view. Something to recharge your batteries.

  • Wonderful vacations in a wonderful place! Jean-Marc's welcome is warm and caring. Very good advice to spend a wonderful vacation and discover the region. The land is great and the view is breathtaking! Magical sunrises and sunsets ! We will certainly go back there !!! I highly recommend and thank Jean-Marc a thousand times for these beautiful vacations ????

  • Top location! In the middle of the mountains, beautiful space and Jean-Marc is very welcoming.
Also well located, I'll be back!

  • Everything was great!

My wife, 3 young children, myself and a dog wanted to go camping on a whim and it was a good thing we ended up at Jean Marc's for our first.

The garden is ideally placed to discover the Gorges du Verdon, the garden where we put our tents has a 360 degree view on the Gorges.

And Jean Marc and his family/friends were lovely to us and didn't hesitate to help us.

Thanks again and we will certainly see you soon :-)

  • Great time on this great field. Nature lovers will be delighted. Host with the small care of his guests

  • Very nice place! Beautiful view!

  • Jean-Marc welcomed us on our arrival and showed us where to place us on his beautiful land in the middle of the mountains. Some campers were present but we were far enough away for our tranquility! We got to know some of them, it was friendly and very nice. Jean Marc is very attentive, we highly recommend this wonderful place to visit the Gorges du Verdon!

  • The terrain is favourable and pleasant, Jean Marc is very welcoming, attentive and organized. The view is simply incredible on the Verdon massif with the sunset.

The terrain is perfect for quality rolls.

    I recommend

  • Very good welcome and beautiful setting perfect for our first gamping experience.

  • Stayed a little week with my young dog... I was really enchanted by the place ! There are about ten camps on 2 ha, which allows you to keep your intimacy and to appreciate the calm in the middle of the mountains. Jean-Marc's site is perfectly equipped; 2 dry toilets, a solar shower, a sink and a refrigerator are available. Finally, the owner is very welcoming, very attentive to all the campers and very reactive to the slightest problem... I highly recommend this "little" corner of paradise near the Gorges du Verdon and will not hesitate to return very quickly!

  • Thanks to Jean Marc for his warm welcome. We really appreciated our stop and our exceptional location overlooking the Gorges du Verdon.

  • 1 night on the spot and what a view!!! Splendid sunset and sunrise. Ideal space to be quiet without feeling isolated. My 3 zozos loved it. Thanks to Jean-Marc also for his good advices because indeed the lake of Castillon is splendid!

  • Great experience and with an incredible value for money. A great welcome from Jean-Marc and he knew how to guide me on my motorcycle trip.

  • We spent a very nice night at Jean-Marc's place, great welcome and an absolutely magnificent view, in a quiet place!

  • Very good stay.
    Land exactly as described.
Nice view. Quiet without being isolated. Good welcome. And not too many campers.
    Thanks for the two days.

  • Very quiet and pleasant place. Jean-Marc is very attentive and made us discover the area with pleasure. We spent a very good stay there.

  • In the middle of nature.... the setting is really nice... only passing through we spent two nights... and we will return with pleasure to explore the region a little better. warm welcome and kindness!
