The setting

The setting we offer invites you to calm and serenity: the visual warmth of a wooden farmhouse, the view of the neighboring village from the heights of the property, the silence of the surrounding nature or its unknown noises, the dark night that offers its thousands of stars, the tenderness of the farm animals (the dogs Jinka and Neige, the donkey Kiwi, the little biquettes...)

The spots

A flat terrain for tent campers: a shady and secluded area, peace and quiet guaranteed, dry toilets and natural spring water with hand pump (non-drinking water).
For caravans and campers (reasonable size of vehicles), easy access and discrete location near the buildings, water and electricity available. Showers and dry toilets in the homes of local people if needed.

The sanitary facilities

For campers in tents, the sanitary facilities are freely accessible because they are independent, dry toilets and cold water only. Small sink outside (but under shelter) that can be used as a sink and for washing dishes. Marseille soap is available. To have hot water, you just have to fill bottles and put them in the sun. Possibility of shower at the inhabitant's house (but the camping site is quite far, about 400m from the house).
For the shower and the dry toilets at the inhabitant's house, from 7am to 11pm without any problem because access by a door independent from the private spaces of the house. A sink is also available at the house for caravans with little equipment. A washing machine is available for long stays.
Beyond the comfort, the experience is enriching!

The amenities

3G Internet with your cell phones (4G to be seen). Orange network everywhere, SFR on the heights of the property. And if you want to disconnect during your stay, we have a laptop box... We will give it back to you when you leave!
Electricity outlets are available outside the house, possibly extension cords for motor homes. On the camping site, 12V electricity, jack and USB plugs.

The activities

On the spot, farm activities (animal care, help with various jobs...) and compulsory relaxation in harmony with nature.
In the surroundings, sports activities (hiking trails in Romestaing, horseback riding at 15km, tree climbing in Casteljaloux, canoeing and kayaking...), relaxation activities (outdoor swimming pool and thermal baths in Casteljaloux, boat trip on the canal...), cultural activities (church in Romestaing to visit, museums in Casteljaloux and in Casteljaloux...), cultural activities (church of Romestaing to visit, museums in Casteljaloux and Marmande, city of the Cadets of Gascony in Casteljaloux, the priory of Marmande, local and varied arts and crafts...), gourmet activities (regular farmers' markets, wine tasting at the cellar of Cocumont, gastronomic restaurant La Vieille Auberge...).

Rules

Arrival and departure times are quite free (more details at reservation), access to some places is forbidden by car.
We ask smokers to respect the premises by using ashtrays (provided on request), and to smoke in safe places (be careful with the straw and hay on the farm, the dry grass...).
The grounds must be in the same condition when you leave as you found them when you arrived. A container is at your disposal for the household waste and think of the selective sorting, bags are provided for this purpose.
Your pets are welcome as long as our farm animals are safe... They are under your responsibility during the stay, in freedom if their behavior allows it. Please note! Part of the grounds is fenced but there is a permanent opening on the road to facilitate access to the site.
Your children are under your responsibility. The farm is a place of work, sometimes dangerous, so it is not a playground. And we would like to avoid having to set unpleasant rules during the vacations.
Finally, each person's freedom ends where the freedom of others begins: respect for the place and for the users of the campsite, a good dose of good manners, good humor and sharing... And your stay will be a success!
