Description

Welcome to a slightly wild, green setting. We live on this little farm with Maroussia and her hen friends, Rico the rooster and their chicks, Mechoui and his sister Merguez, our favorite ewes, Oscar the cowardly ram and their young, Bonaparte and Napoléon our two pigs, Peio the badger, Pierre-Luc the buzuc and his tribe, Anatole the springtail and his troops, and a host of other little inhabitants.

You can book the same day, and I'll get back to you within a few hours.

The setting

Quiet, farm campsite just outside town, a few hundred meters from the greenway.
The camping area is located at the far end of the grounds, past the hens' suburb, the pigs' quarter, near the sheep paddocks.
Parts of the site are left wild to accommodate local flora and fauna, but the vacationers' area is well maintained. The landscape features flowering greenery and fruit trees, greenhouses and a half-hectare of market garden agroforestry.

The spots

Very spacious.
The pitches are not marked out and have no electricity. The site is relatively flat, without much shade at the moment, but this is Brittany!
At the entrance to the site, you'll find a landscaped esplanade with armchairs and electric hook-up.
One area is reserved for caravans and other converted vehicles, and another for tents, not accessible to cars.

The sanitary facilities

The sanitary facilities are outside the campsite: hot showers, dry toilets and washbasins.
As water treatment is entirely natural, you must use organic or natural products (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, detergent, etc.) as we use the water filtered by the phytodepuration system to irrigate our crops.

The amenities

No wifi spot, sorry. But a power point for recharging phones. Tables, chairs and fridge available.
On the other hand, there's no kitchen BUT we do offer organic vegetarian dinners (starter-main course-dessert) on site for 15 euros (not available during the Vieilles Charrues festival), or a platter of charcuterie from the farm (rillettes, pâté de campagne and ham and apple terrine, bread and a local beer, all organic and 15 euros).
In case of rain, we'll open the converted barn for your meals.
Breakfast (a hot drink, a glass of fruit juice, a pastry, bread, butter and homemade jam) for 5 euros.
We can store your bicycles.
If required, we can wash your clothes (3 euros per wash).

The activities

Depending on availability, you can take part in the farm's various activities with your children: picking, drying herbs, feeding the animals, sowing, weeding, collecting eggs, etc. according to the season and your wishes.
Wooden games on request.
Many walks are accessible from Carhaix. We're close to the voie verte and the vélodyssée, and the Nantes-Brest canal is 4 kilometers away.
Carhaix is also close to the Monts d'Arrée and numerous walking trails of all kinds. We can advise you on activities within a 15/20km radius.

Other things

If you need to do some shopping, it's best to think about it as you leave the greenway. We can also provide fruit and vegetables in season, small trail baskets, vegetarian meals, herbal teas, solid soap and toiletries.
Motorhomes: reception at the barrier: no electric hook-up or emptying possible.

Rules

Grounds open until 7pm. Breakfast served between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

DURING THE OLD TIMES: open until 2 pm.
Breakfast served between 9.30am and 11am.
Quiet is requested, as festival-goers who are used to the site choose it to rest after their day.

As water treatment is entirely natural, you must use organic or natural products (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, detergent, etc.) as we use the water filtered by the phytodepuration process to irrigate our crops.

Given the current situation, we can allocate sanitary facilities to each family camping so as not to share them with others. These will be fully disinfected after each departure.

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€5 / person)

Classic breakfast: bread, butter, homemade jam, pastries, hot drink. 5 euros
Country breakfast: classic + smoothie, dairy product, egg. 10 euros

Tent ready

Tent sleeps 3. Ground sheet supplied if required. Free to rent, in addition to the price per person.

  • A very warm welcome! We had a great time with Patricia and her family. I will recommend with pleasure!

  • Patricia made me feel very welcome, the place is very nice, I recommend it!

  • We made a stop on our family bike tour at La Petite Ferme.
    The pluses:
    * helpful hosts
    * the equipment to preserve the environment: dry toilets + phyto shower, waste sorting
    * the visit of the farm
    * the availability of a fridge
    * a good breakfast

    The - :
    * the distance between the camping place and the place to get dry and eat.
    * no shelter to store the bikes
    * no water or cooking facilities on the site to make a meal
    * the children would have liked to participate in feeding and caring for the animals during the visit
    * some areas of the site left unattended may be questionable

  • Perfect for two nights with my little ones.

  • Super moment we loved being at the small farm with the children and breakfast too good with jams home of Patricia to our surprising

  • Superb location, not far from Carhaix but at the same time in the quiet countryside! Spacious grounds with quality showers.

  • A superb place, big space to put its tent, excellent reception, rather quiet place!

  • Great moment in the middle of the goats, thank you for the ideal welcome, although we rushed the opening...

  • A very pleasant and warm welcome! We were able to enjoy the beautiful grounds.
Everything is very good for showers and toilets. You can hear the farm animals in the distance, but nothing restful, on the contrary it feels good.
And thank you for these vegetables !
And what a breakfast, with this sunset and this meal tray !
Do not hesitate to stop there

  • perfect welcome and setting

  • Patricia is very welcoming, the place is relaxing, the breakfast is very pleasant and the little advice to get to the Nantes-Brest canal faster was very welcome!
    Very nice experience!

  • The desire to host is there, but two or three points need to be reviewed to make the conditions good:
    - the impossibility to have the car near the camping place, and to park the car at the other end of the farm is really not practical when you have a lot of stuff to unload and you are tired by the road.
    - the fridge on loan is to be avoided (mold, dead insects...)
    - the electric connection and the fridge are, as our vehicles, far from the place of camp thus not practical.
    - The waste treatment plant is nearby and works all night long.
The dry toilets smell strong, and yet I am a regular I plebiscite this type of toilet.

  • A nice welcome on a well-equipped site for a stopover in Carhaix. With in bonus delicious terrines of the farm. Thanks to Patricia and her family.

  • Patricia is a generous and open hostess. Her welcome is excellent, the camp is very well organized
    And the meals are delicious!
We had a great time for this step in our velodysee

  • We had a great time with friends at Patricia's, the sheltered relaxation area was perfect for the rainy evening, we were dry! The sanitary block is nickel, we will return without problem

  • One night stop in a camping car. Hot showers and dry toilets at the top. Friendly welcome.
The road is quite close and busy.

  • A big thank you to Patricia and her husband for their welcome. We arrived with our bikes in the rain, our spirits in the socks, but Patricia knew how to make us smile again! After a good meal concocted by her husband and a good hot shower, it was much better! Next time, we'll order some sun and it will be perfect!

  • Patricia is very welcoming, all the amenities are there, plus the good products of the farm to taste!
    It was great!

  • Nice experience on this site, very good welcome from Patricia. We recommend it.

  • We had a great time at Patricia Rodney and their children's house, their land is very nice and the facilities they built (showers, dry toilets etc.) are great! Take the time to discuss their permaculture farm with them it's very interesting and rewarding! A very welcoming family and a fantastic place that I recommend if you are in the area.

  • Great stay in the green and with all the services of the city at two steps. Warm welcome, good meetings with exciting discussions. I highly recommend the vegan meals, made with products from the garden, it's great. I had a great time. I had a great time. Thank you.

  • Everything was top notch at Patricia's place: the spacious grounds, the homemade showers on rocks, the local craft beers, the Bonaparte pig, the chicks born in the night, the rich and engaged discussions....Special mention to the organic veggie dinner, delicious and based on products from the farm
We will come back and recommend this address without hesitation!

  • A perfect place to stay for a few days... in Patricia's absence, Rodney concocted tasty, abundant, veggie friendly meals while sharing with us his new universe, that of their organic farm... he advised us on the nice places nearby. We are very fans of his humor and their prices! See you soon, no doubt

  • Patricia and her husband received us very well in a nice and very trendy place. It's a place made for real campers who also like peace and quiet. Just like us!
Evening meal, vegetarian - vegetables from the garden, perfect !!!

  • A warm welcome, an environmentally friendly place, delicious jams and buns, and all homemade.
The bonus: Patricia knows a lot.
It's inspiring for an alternative life.

  • An unusual experience on a farm. A great place for camping.

An unforgettable experience with a beautiful starry night sky.

  • Nice welcome, nice place, Thank you

  • very nice stay. Quiet, in the middle of nature, organic and ecological.
Thank you for the welcome and the little visit of your facilities.
Wishing a long life to Napoleon (the pig)!

  • Space to enjoy the calm of the countryside.
Animals to satisfy the curiosity of children and even adults!
Conviviality of the owners and the other campers.

  • We were very well received by Patricia and Rodney in their lovely green haven. Availability, generosity, organic and "homemade" cuisine (thank you Rodney for all your time and culinary talent!), very tasty and copious. I really liked your impeccable sanitary facilities and the overall approach. We will miss Napoleon and Bonaparte!
See you soon on the road to new adventures! Thank you for everything! ????
Small suggestion: suggest to your guests to come with their own containers and cutlery if they order a picnic but thanks to your kindness everything went well for us!

  • A nice little spot in the middle of nature. The kids had a blast and so did we! Very warm welcome and very clean place!

  • Patricia and her husband are very careful to make your stay very pleasant. The place is quiet and pretty. The sanitary facilities are very clean and functional with a clever and ecological water management system.
Everything is perfect. We highly recommend this place.

  • We were with the small care at Patricia's, she even set up a tent for us. The meal was delicious and the breakfast very good, organic and all homemade, a brioche to fall ...
Ema first experience home camping, an address not to be missed!

  • Great welcome, great location, incredible sunrise and a tasty little home-cooked meal! E'core thank you !

  • A haven of peace. After the 'close' cohabitation of the previous days, it did me good
It's a pity that the weather was not suitable anymore
Not far from the city, from the bicycle paths, what more could you ask for.
Thanks to Patricia and her husband for their welcome

  • The welcome and the service are what cyclo campers can expect.
The animals of the farm are indeniable assets of Patricia's Little Farm for families with children in particular. We also underline the global and coherent approach between the camping and the farm activities: it is organic! Good continuation to Patricia and her family.

  • We had an excellent stay, the one we were looking for "Simple and Organic".
Patricia, her husband, her children and their animals, welcomed us very well in their haven of peace.
We also appreciated their organic breakfast. We left with home-made jams and eggs from their hens.
Thank you again for this weekend of freedom, after the confinement, it did us a lot of good. Fabienne and Philippe

  • Good weekend spent at Patricia's.
Ecological shower and toilet as well as the products.

  • At the top on the reception, the breakfast and the cleanliness of the site!
