Description

This is a very quiet community; please no noise after 9 PM. I do practice my drums one hour a day at most, but never after 9 PM, and never before 9 AM. :-)

The setting

We spend summers here on the island in a three-bedroom house on about 2 acres of land. We have a fire pit and plenty of room for camping here across the road at our neighbor’s. Shared porta-potty fir now and eventually full bathroom.

The spots

There are some shady spots and several sunny areas. Nothing specifically marked, so it’s pretty open, depending where you want to go.

The sanitary facilities

We have running water on site; you can use our house and a wash tub. There is also a shared porta potty.

The amenities

We have a fire pit and some camping cookpots, also cups and plates and all of that… Just clean up after yourselves. :-)

There is Wi-Fi nearby at the library, and also at the visitor center in Morell. We do not have Wi-Fi on site, as we like to unplug and unwind. ( and almost everyone has a data plan these days anyway!)

We do have a solar power battery to recharge your phone.

A simple breakfast is included, usually tea or coffee, hit chocolate or mate and some fruit and cereal or toast

There is a fenced in yard for dogs to run. Please pick up after your pet

The activities

There is a ring toss game, and lots of books and board games. We are about a half hour drive from Charlotte town, and also very close to Greenwich national Park. Parks pass and bike rental can be arranged for five dollars per person per day. (There is also bike and kayak rental in Morell) The lighthouse nearby is definitely worth a visit, And there are many lovely beaches

Other things

This is a very quiet community; please no noise after 9 PM. I do practice my drums one hour a day at most, but never after 9 PM, and never before 9 AM. :-)
