Description

You're in the heart of the Languedoc, one of France's most dynamic wine-growing regions in recent times.
And with good reason, many young people are taking up winegrowing with passion and determination.
Matthieu and his wife chose to set up their vineyard in the charming village of Castelnau d'Aude, nestled between the prestigious Minervois and Corbières appellations. This is a region rich in historical and cultural heritage (Cathar castles, Canal du Midi, etc.).), Matthieu decided to leave his job in IT to set up his own business in October 2018, following a multitude of administrative steps: authorization to plant and uproot existing vines, choosing the best grape varieties and vines to graft, deciding on the appellation to use (Pays d'Oc IGP), starting up an organic operation right through to the plot preparation for planting new vines a short while ago...

Severely hit by a 90% frost on the night of 07/08 April 2021, Matthieu and his wife need your support more than ever.

Situation
  • Quiet location close to the vineyards. A bathroom and access to electricity would be welcome to make the most of the stars.

  • A total change of scenery, alone in the middle of the vineyards, under a magnificent starry sky. Matthieu is very responsive and helpful when needed. All we need is a little shade on the plot (as long as the olive trees grow a little), so plan to arrive in the late afternoon during the hot weather. Many thanks to Matthieu and Nina for their warm welcome. Their wonderful wine-growing project deserves to be supported!

  • New location, very quiet and secluded, which will become even more pleasant once the olive trees have grown.
An easily usable water point would be a plus (thanks to the neighbor who left one of his hoses with a leak, which enabled us to cool off, cook and wash).
In the near future, we should think about installing dry toilets...
The contact with our hosts has always been very good, quick, we would have liked to meet you but very good reasons did not allow it ... good recovery!.????

  • A very pretty, peaceful setting. We had made a long stop along the canal, but were a little put off by the fact that the water supply to the site had been cut off. The positive point is to be able to help a viticulture good continuation to you and good recovery.

  • Very responsive host
    Very good communication
    Just that it is good
    Quietness assured surrounded by vineyards
    Nice welcome

  • A small plot of land in the middle of nature on which we spent, with our children, a magnificent night under the stars!
