  • Short stay of one night but very pleasant welcoming hosts beautiful facilities magnificent environment
We hope to return for longer this time

  • Overall, the experience was positive. The only negative point is the smell of the toilets, which is downright unpleasant. If dry toilets were used with wood shavings, it would be more breathable, but here it's earth that's used, in other words there's no natural deodorization.

  • A very pleasant place with a beautiful view, a very unusual shower that's much appreciated, especially in summer, dry toilets, a nice experience! ???? to charge your cell phone or anything else, which isn't insignificant. I'd definitely recommend it.

  • A clean, well-placed place for a vacation.

  • Jean Marc is very welcoming and the terrain he offers is relatively flat. The sanitary facilities are also nice, with hot water. A lovely setting at the foot of the mountains, perfect for our stopover!

  • A nice break in a very pleasant region. New facilities on site to simplify daily life. Thanks for the warm welcome.

  • Very nice location on a beautiful green plot, close to the house.

    Outdoor washing-up area. Very practical.

    Jean-Marc is discreet.

    Very nice address.

  • Great family vacation in a tent. We spent 4 nights. All the necessities for campers WC, shower, sink, and mirrors, picnic table and also electric sockets.
The hosts are very kind, welcoming and available.

  • We had a pleasant stay with Jean-Marc, who was very friendly and helpful.
    I recommend him without reservation.

  • A good compromise between a nature bivouac and the minimum comfort of a hot shower and toilet!

  • Very well received by this couple.
    A village full of charm.
The location is faithful to the description.

  • Very nice village and garden with all the equipment you need! Jean-Marc is friendly and accommodating. I recommend camping with him

  • Very warm welcome
    Simple but ample facilities
    Helpful host
    I would recommend

  • Pleasant stay. Thanks to our hosts

  • Very quiet location. Very well placed for visiting the region. Very warm welcome from a charming couple. They gave us very good advice for visiting the surrounding area.
One small downside, worth one star less, was the dry toilets, with the floor in the ground and non-existent sawdust replaced by earth and dry grass.

  • Delighted with the experience, the hosts, Jean Marc and his wife, were very kind and welcoming. Concerned at all times for our well-being.

    Very spacious and beautiful campsite.

Shower and sink with hot water available.

    A real charm!

We are very grateful. I recommend it 100%.

  • We arrived after a hailstorm that devastated our hosts' property. They themselves, shaken by the damage, did their best to make sure our night went smoothly. Many thanks to them.

  • Sanitary facilities too basic, poorly maintained and noisy

  • Not really an opinion...the night went pretty well despite the heat and the storm, disappointed by the shower and the dry toilets.

  • Jean-marc is very welcoming. Nothing is missing and the setting is very pleasant. I recommend

  • We found Jean Marc's place to be very suitable for our short stay and our friendly hosts were attentive to our needs.
The picnic table and the hammock were particularly appreciated by the family.
    Thank you for your welcome

  • We were very well received, Karine and Jean-Marc are very attentive to the well-being of the campers. We put our tent under the walnut tree, next to a wooden table, ideal for aperitifs at sunset. The old wash house with heated shower, sink and dry toilet is very nice.
Itxassou is very pretty and there are many things to visit in the area.
    We highly recommend it.

  • Nice location with all amenities nearby to discover a beautiful valley. Good welcome from Jean-Marc, attentive in view of the heavy rain expected.

  • Jean-Marc is a really friendly, quiet person. The place is nice, you can see the mountains. Fine hot shower, a table and a hammock under the fig tree. I absolutely enjoyed ! Merci

  • Very good welcome from Jean Marc and his wife.
A peaceful place to wake up with a magnificent view.
Pleasant hosts with very good advice to visit the region.

  • We were welcomed by Jean-Marc to spend a night in Itxassou.
The garden for parking was big enough for a van and a tent.
We just regret that the washroom provided for the toilet and shower was a bit dirty (cobwebs, dirt around the toilet bowl (since there is no sawdust for dry toilets) and on the sink).
The sink is not really installed permanently (just a pipe coming out instead of a faucet which is not very practical).
The drain of the shower and the sink goes directly into the drain of the washbasin (on the ground under your feet (be careful not to walk in it)) which does not seem to me very ecological, especially because of the products used for the shower or the dishes.
Work could improve the washhouse which is rather pretty and very original.

  • Welcoming family halfway between mountain and ocean, clean and accessible land with a quality shower

  • We felt warmly welcomed by our hosts, who were available, considerate and helpful. The garden is nice for camping. We recommend without hesitation!

  • Magnificent site, original arrangement of the independent sanitary facilities for the visitors. I will come back during my future visits in this superb region.

  • Nice welcome by very nice people.
    friendly people.
Quiet environment in front of a beautiful house
An ideal situation to visit this beautiful region.
    Thank you for this welcome.

  • Perfect. Highly recommended!

  • Very good stay, we were very well received and the hosts are listening and very friendly! Jean-Marc has done a great job in the wash house, an athypical experience, I recommend it!

  • A very warm welcome, an incredible space with a view of the mountains!
    We had a great time!
    We highly recommend

  • Everything went well! Well placed in the inner Basque country, not far from the center of the village. Welcoming hosts :).

  • Nice welcome, beautiful village

  • Very pleasant family and good advice, quiet location with beautiful view on the mountains, we will return if the opportunity arises with pleasure

  • Jean-Marc and his family welcomed us very well and gave us very good advice. Quiet location.

  • Thank you to Jean-Marc and his wife for their welcome and their tourist advice.
We were able to exchange ideas and this is what we appreciate in this formula at the inhabitant's.

    Véro clarisse and Ruben.

  • Very good welcome at Jean Marc's, he and his wife are very nice and gave us good advices for the continuation of our trip. We recommend without worries ! ????

  • We were warmly welcomed by Jean-Marc and Karine. They showed us their house which they restored with a lot of taste. Their little Rose was adorable with our little Mia. In short, it was a beautiful moment and a very nice meeting

  • We were very well received! Jean-Marc and his wife offered us refreshments upon arrival and showed us around their beautiful home! The cat even loved us :)

  • We spent a night at Jean Marc's and his family's house, we were very well received.

  • We had booked two nights, but in the end we stayed for almost a week! Jean Marc and his family are very welcoming and warm, we could, thanks to their sharing, discover all the richness of this region. The situation is idyllic, between sea, mountain, typical villages, rivers and viewpoints, we were not bored for a second. What a pleasure to have breakfast in a quiet place with a view on the mountains, while seeing the griffon vultures doing their rounds in the sky. Thank you again for this beautiful meeting and a little wink from Leo who never stops talking about your two loulous since our departure.
    See you soon.
