Description

The idea of camping is certainly not the usual one, here you can really escape the traps of the city and get back to an experience in touch with nature.

The setting

A campsite aimed at having minimal impact on the surrounding environment while maintaining a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The Chestnut tree is the star of our predominantly steep forest.

The spots

We have a private and secluded space nestled in the woods, suitable for no more than 5 people. This space will be reserved only for a single group. Maximum capacity: group of 4 adults or a family with 2 adults and 3 children.
This is the campsite for those seeking nature, coolness, silence and magical fireflies.

The sanitary facilities

The toilet is a practical and clean compost toilet that treats human solid waste through composting and dewatering processes. The final product can be used as organic fertilizer in agriculture. The shower water is heated with solar panels and is available to you.

The amenities

The kitchen area is outside but covered and consists of a simple stove and sink; it is stocked with dishes and cooking essentials (no refrigerator) you can eat your meals at the large wooden table in the center of the gazebo. In this area you will find lighting, drinking water, electricity and free wi-fi.

The bathroom and kitchen area are shared with other guests.

We have two cats and two dogs, male and female. Unfortunately, our male dog is a bit gruff and may not get along well with other male dogs. We prefer to accommodate therefore only female dogs. Please be advised that there is no fence.

The activities

The Pellice Valley is an area little known by many tourists, but with many beautiful places to visit and natural landscapes to admire, we will be happy to give you useful tips to make your vacation a real experience to live!

Starting from the house you can take several peaceful walks along the paths that connect the different villages in the woods or reach the Barfè refuge where you can eat many delicious typical dishes and if you are a real walker climb to the top of Mount Vandalino and enjoy the view.
There are countless high mountain treks starting from nearby Villar Pellice, Bobbio Pellice and Villanova weights. Only an hour away is the imposing Monviso (3,841 mt) or Sestriere, the highest town in Italy at 2,035 mt.

If, on the other hand, you just want to unplug, keep a slow pace and relax by doing nothing, then we recommend taking a dip in the cool Tumpi, the natural pools of the Pellice Valley streams. The water will have a rejuvenating effect on you!

Other things

In addition, we will pamper you with the delicacies that nature offers us and genuine foods. Once a week you will smell the scent of bread coming out of the oven in our house , we bake real artisan bread with sourdough.

The road to our forest is uphill, but fear not it is paved and is about 7 km from the village (8 minutes by car and 45 minutes on foot). The nearest train station (Pinerolo) is 25 km from here; there are buses running on the Pinerolo-Torre Pellice line.
One day before your arrival I will send detailed directions and location to easily reach the place.

    We recommend this place!

  • We spent 4 wonderful days at Chiara's place. The place is very nice and very quiet. Everything is well thought out and works well. The breakfasts are rich and varied. We enjoyed a lot of peace and privacy. Besides the region has a lot to offer, it is a highly recommended place.

  • It was our first night in italy and it was quite a ride for finding the place but worth it. This was juste the perfect place for a night or two, Chiara is welcoming there was a bio hot shower and biotoilets at your disposal very clean. You are surrounded by a deep forest and at night you can even hear wild boars quite spectacular experience and we loved it all the way. Just maybe a bit expensive versus other cool spots we eperienced since but its ok. Thanks chiara

  • Had a great time! Landscape is beautiful and the hosts are very helpful and caring. When staying there I highly recommend to enjoy the fresh food that is served and prepared by Chiara
