We can arrange a Service Opportunity for you if you would like to immerse in the neighborhood.
There is regular public transportation between Nakuru and Mangu.

The setting

This is a small village.
You are tucked away from the occasional traffic both motorized and foot.
A fence screens the majority of sight.
Though sitting on the Commons veranda you can watch the daily activity on the street. There are lots of birds and in growing season all is lush and green.

The spots

The camping spots, are tucked along the backside in our small guava forest.
It is very private there, difficult to see or be seen.
The public areas are large and open.
The majority of the, property not in buildings, is in organic gardens and depending upon the time of year are lush, green and tasty or a bit dry and anxiously awaiting water.
If coming in a motor home the parking area is open and grassy.
You may park near the peaceful G lounge.
There are a few open spots if prefer to be more out in the open.

The sanitary facilities

There is a pit latrine and a composting latrine with outside access and, a composting latrine inside the family house.
There is a solar hot water shower I side the, family house.
There are 2 sets of laundry sinks with outside access.
Filtered drinking water is available in time limited quantities in the kitchen.

The amenities

There is Internet in the Study Center.
There is a shared kitchen with basic equipment.
No refrigeration.
Why not let us cook for you. Meals are available for reasonable prices. Ie. A basic Breakfast is 200/=
Most power is solar but present in the, study center for charging and operating your computer.
We can provide locked security for your devices with charging capacity if you desire.

The activities

This is a small children's home.
The children will leave you in peace or you may feel free to interact with them in appropriate ways.

Lake Nakuru National Park, Nakuru Town Center, Menengai Crater and Lord Edgerton Castle are all within 20 km. Lake Baringo and Lake Bogoria Park are a day trip away.
Kabarak University is a private university, with a guest house with a pool, gym and fine dining restaurant open to the public not far away.

There is regular public transportation between Nakuru and Mangu.


Rules

No smoking, prefer no drinking alcohol but no drunkenness.
Appropriate behavior around the children required.
