Description

Located at the foot of the Seranne in an old olive grove, the forest has taken over for over 60 years.
From the entrance to the camping places, we go from the plain to the forest through the scrubland.
The plot is now restored to become an edible forest where associative activities are proposed.
Archery, craft making, initiations to modern gardening arts or calligraphy...
It is a place of rest, meditation and discovery of a still unknown world, the earth on which we live.

The setting

The land is located on the edge of the hamlet of Coupiac.
South-east facing and very wooded, it is easy to enjoy the light all day while benefiting from the shade of the trees when it is hot.
The part in plain borders the access to the hamlet, a small road with little traffic connected to the departmental road.
The part in the forest is totally isolated from the road (noise, view)
Quiet access: easy.
A large part of the land is enclosed by dry stone walls.
The restoration is in progress.
The plot is gradually being rehabilitated to become an agro-ecological space (edible forest and permaculture vegetable garden)

The spots

The main places to accommodate the tents (4 places average size) are under the trees sheltered from high winds and heat.
A 2-person bed is also available in the hut.
3 bivouac places are available on a suspended floor and of course, some hammocks if needed.

The sanitary facilities

Dry toilets available in the field.
Hot water, conventional toilets/showers available during the day at the home.

The amenities

No electricity or on site. Installation of water system and shower cabin in progress.
Small room equipped with a gas stove (fires and oven), wood stove, and small kitchen equipment (sink, cutlery, dishes...) common part.

The activities

hiking, horseback riding, karting, tree climbing, climbing...canoeing (overcrowded in high season, tourist activity to avoid)

Water is a precious resource.
The operation of the agricultural structure or the campsite are organized to save water as much as possible.

Provide its lighting led.

Organic and natural cosmetics and hygiene products are accepted.
The waste water going back directly to the foot of the trees, the chemical products are not accepted (or under conditions).

FOLLOWING THE PANDEMIC COVID 19 :

It is of course advised to bring your individual equipment recommended by the government to limit the spread of the virus.
A hydro-alcohol solution is available in the sanitary facilities and in the kitchen.
The activities proposed on the field are organized in such a way as to respect the safety distances and (individual maintenance) most of the activities are outside so it is easy to get away from the pressure generated by the recent epidemic.

This place is the territory of wild animals.
Deer, wild boar, orioles, badgers, foxes, pheasants, barn owls, hoopoes, mice, lizards, greens, newts, kidneys... The more discreet you are, the more likely you are to come across them.
TWO Compost are at your disposal. The first one where all the organic and food waste can be decomposed with the manure, the second one where the kitchen waste such as vegetables or fruits is destined to the henhouse (no coffee Mar or soiled papers).

Possibility of breakfast (€2 / person)

this year we are happy to offer fresh eggs (from the chickens in the garden) and some jams made from the wild fruits of the region (plums and pumpkins). the baker will come by van to the center of the hamlet on tuesday and saturday mornings at 9am (to be specified when you make your reservation). for the meals, vegetables from the garden will be available from summer onwards (tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, zucchini)
