Description

Simple stopover on a dairy farm in the immediate vicinity of Mont Saint-Michel (parking lots: 5 minutes by car, 20 minutes by bike (flat, very slight gradient), ideal for hikers (on foot, bike, donkey, etc.).
We come here for the authenticity, the safe, child-friendly environment, the peace and quiet, the proximity to the Mont, the practical and very simple facilities (see below), the chance to feel the atmosphere of a small family dairy farm where cows eat grass and drink good milk.
NO HAMAC.
Arrive and set up at a time of your choosing and on your own - there are signs in the courtyard. I'll come and see you.

The setting

Green environment, bird paradise, close to farm buildings, no traffic, enclosed area

The spots

Free space
Vans not too big if possible

The sanitary facilities

Dry toilets and cold water point on site (ferruginous but drinkable water).
Shower cubicle on site, bottles to be filled with hot water or heated by the sun, works very well. It rained in spring, but drought is not far off....
Hot/cold water sink available

The amenities

Common room/rain barrel with table and chairs set against an old bread oven. A shared socket for recharging the phone or cool box. A few plates and glasses, but campers must bring their own equipment.

The activities

In Beauvoir: bar tabac, bakery serving sandwiches, restaurants
In Pontorson: grocery store and carrefour market, Wednesday market
Possibility of leaving bags at the farm during the visit to Le Mont

Other things

No use of the home kitchen

Rules

We trust you to sort your garbage and respect other campers.
We also respect the life and constraints of the farm and our small family with two young children.

  • Thank you very much, I had a wonderful stay with you opposite Mont Saint Michel! I wish you a good continuation, and take care of you :)

  • Total immersion in a dairy cow farm. Very friendly welcome, close to Mont Saint-Michel, far from the crowds.

  • Great stay, the kids are still talking about it!
The milking with Benoît completely overshadowed the visit to Mont Saint Michel.
A great time shared with very friendly hosts!

  • Very warm welcome on arrival.
The grounds are well maintained and located at the rear of the farm in a very relaxing and quiet setting.

The communal area is a great asset for sharing with other campers and storing food in case of heatwave.

The dry toilets are very clean and emptied every day.

Anne and Benoît's place is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
You feel really good right away. You don't want to leave...

    A 30-minute walk from the
    Mont st Michel ????

Cycling paths nearby for magnificent routes to Mont saint Michel and other towns.

Beauvoir is a peaceful town far from the chaos of tourism. Great for sightseeing in the surrounding area.
Carrefour 5 minutes away by car, very convenient.

    I highly recommend
I'll be back as the couple are really friendly and kind and there are so many places to discover.
    Don't forget your bike....

  • Camping on a farm.
Toilets, electricity, outside water point (independent) it's very pleasant.
The shower is more rudimentary, but you can still wash.
    Nice, quiet site.
    Easy to find.
Young and dynamic farmers, they are welcoming and pleasant.
    I'd like to recommend

  • A great stay at Anne's.

Very discreet, we were able to chat a bit with her and her husband. Thanks for the advice on the greenway :)

Our two daughters loved watching Benoit prepare the hay for the cows on the morning of our departure (and that allowed us to tidy up our installation quietly :) )

    Thanks again

  • It was a very impressive experience for me and my family. We enjoyed our time very much and will definitely come back when we are in the area. Anne was a great hostess. Could also observe a great night sky from place. So in Germany almost impossible. Thanks again for everything. Bell family

  • A short but unforgettable stay!
Extremely warm welcome and support !!!!
Drinking milk milked before your very eyes, having breakfast just a stone's throw from the cows, contemplating the most beautiful view - for some - of Mont Saint-Michel while picnicking with the cats...

  • What a wonderful experience!
We were delighted to be able to conclude our cycling trip at Anne and Benoit's and stay for 2 nights.
Great experience with the solar shower!
The children were also able to discover how cows are milked, thanks to Benoit's explanations - many thanks! He's a great teacher, and you can tell he's keen to share his work with others!
Location close to Mont Saint-Michel, accessible by bike (approx. 20-25mn).
    We warmly recommend!

  • Great location for visiting Mont Saint Michel, 15 min by bike. Really easy access, all flat.
Very friendly farm. Back to basic comfort, very pleasant

  • Very pleasant short stay, ideally located for visiting the famous Mont by bike or on foot!
Very simple and very complete at the same time, a calm and natural place.
    Thank you, Anne!

  • Very good welcome, perfect calm.
    Thank you

  • We spent 2 days with Anne and Benoit in an exceptional setting!
We would like to thank them for their warm welcome and kindness.

  • Very friendly hosts, we were made to feel very welcome. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Opportunity to see the milking of cows.
    We recommend.

  • Great stay at Anne's. I was made very welcome, the space for campers was well thought out. Fresh eggs available too. I'll be back with pleasure!

  • Great welcome!

  • Our first experience with Homecamper was a great one, thanks to our host Anne. We received a warm welcome in an idyllic setting. It's very well located for visiting Mont St Michel on foot or by bike. Many thanks to Anne and her family

  • Our stay with Anne was great all around!
She has surprised us already once very positive with the fact that she speaks perfect German (our French is unfortunately not very good) and we could therefore communicate super.
The campsite near the famous "Le Mont St. Michel" (about an hour and a half walk away) is well suited to explore the great area and enjoy the tranquility of the country, away from the many tourists who visit the monastery.
We were allowed to park our van in the large meadow at the edge of the forest, so we had a lot of privacy. There is a toilet and even a shower that you can operate yourself by filling bottles with hot water.
Anne is very helpful and cordial, she lent us salt for dinner and was also otherwise always available for us.
At the same time, you have a lot of free space on the premises and can be all to yourself.
The cows all around are just wonderful and the farm is definitely highly recommended for animal lovers.
Especially Anne's farewell on the phone (unfortunately we have not seen each other again) has turned out very warm and lovely, which made us totally happy.
Despite the bad weather, we keep the place in good memory and would love to come back one day. :)
Thank you for everything, dear Anne!

  • A really great welcome, Anne and Benoît are top notch.
You can go there with your eyes closed.

  • Nice stay!

  • Conviviality, human warmth, close to the mountain, country square, perfect.

  • Thank you, Anne, for your genuine welcome in an ecologically sound environment.
    We recommend this pleasant stopover

  • Perfect location, just a stone's throw from Gros Michel ;) and QUIET.
Almost flat land, easily accessible for all types of vehicles.
    Warm welcome.
Plus, superb (non-functional) but still superb for the eyes, huge +-1800 bread oven.

  • Anne is very kind and informative, and the grounds are large and clean. Thank you again for welcoming us to your home.

  • We had a great time at Anne's during our trip to Brittany. The site is large and well oriented, the equipment is simple but friendly, and the welcome very kind! If you're looking for a place to hike to Mont-Saint-Michel, or just to get a nice view of the region's most famous landmark, stop by Anne's!

  • It was great to get together for a night of camping on the farm! Anne is very welcoming. We recommend

  • Very nice experience on the site proposed by Anne with a quality welcome. Very convenient location for visiting Mont Saint Michel.

  • Very nice stay! Not far from the village on foot

  • Well-maintained site at the bottom of a meadow near the trees. Dry toilet area with no bad smells or flies!! and the possibility of recharging your cell phone. The 6 of us did without the shower with water bottles heated in the sun. The children loved seeing the farm animals.

  • A great stay with Anne and her little family. Anne is a generous person who takes good care of her guests. The grounds are spacious, with plenty of shade for pitching a tent. The toilets are clean (she comes by two or three times a day to clean them).
Thank you Anne for your warm welcome and your advice on outings. Thank you Benoît for opening up your farm and telling us about your work.
Thank you Sidonie and Lison for sharing these moments with our daughter. I'm sure she'll have fond memories of you all.

  • Very good stay with Anne and her partner, for my daughter and me in a tent.
Lovely place, with nature, animals and approachable people, both welcoming and sharing. An enriching experience, with a return to simple pleasures (friendly exchanges, showering in the sun with bottled water, washing up on tap...).
For us, these encounters will remain forever in our memories!
    Louisiane, Laurène and Manoir ;)

  • We spent a very nice evening in a very quiet and pleasant place.

  • Just great!

  • I spent two nights on Anne's site, as it's close to Mont-Saint-Michel for the velocyclos. Great experience for me. The site is vast and quiet. It's a farm, so you sleep in the middle of cows and nature. Showering with bottled water, dry toilets, we're back to simplicity. You can tell that Anne and her partner are passionate about what they do, and that makes all the difference. I was treated to fresh organic milk from their farm before I left ;-) Thank you and see you soon!

  • Great location. Quiet. Clean. Close to nature. Warm and welcoming host. Would recommend

  • Many thanks for this two-night stay, which rounded off my walk from Rennes to Mont Saint Michel. A small piece of land in an idyllic setting, the essentials (dry toilets / bottle shower) and there you have it!
Thank you for your warm welcome!

  • A warm welcome, a well-kept and very quiet pitch with access to dry toilets and a shower at the roots - what happiness!!!

  • Super welcome and very pleasant and quiet place!

  • A great welcome, a great place, a great time! Thanks for everything!

  • An authentic, friendly campsite for nature, bike and peace lovers. 2 nights in the warmth of the Normandy summer. Thank you for your welcome Anne and B.

  • What a wonderful place this is!
Very simple, back to nature but very comfortable...
Anne and her husband made us feel very welcome.
    Thank you !!!!!!!!

  • Anne is warm and her domain is charming. Thank you for making my first homecamping experience so enjoyable!

  • Great return to a simple life for one night. We enjoyed the shower with water heated by the sun.
Anne and Benoît are very welcoming.
    Breakfast with fresh milk.
    100% recommended

  • A warm welcome from Anne, who explains how to use and manage the garden and its facilities. It's such a peaceful place, right in the middle of nature, close to the working farm where you can see the cows coming out and the cat comes to cuddle. Very well located, close to Mont St Michel, which you can reach on foot or by bike, or to the village of Beauvoir. THANK YOU ANNE for making my stay with you so enjoyable.

  • Very warm welcome, fun for children (milking cows), pleasant, clean site. Would recommend.

  • We have had a wonderful stay (4 days !) in this little paradise, created by An and Benoit and their 2 little girls. They are so communicatieve and helpful, with a genuine concern for their guests. What a quiet and generous place to stay near the very busy Monts Saint Michael.
Many thanks and All the best for the futur , An et Benoit!

  • Rustic setting on the outskirts of Mont Saint-Michel. Pleasant, relaxing surroundings, very warm welcome from Anne and her husband. The farm milk at breakfast is well worth the detour, as is the view of Mont Saint-Michel from the hill just above.
    Do it again

  • Superb experience in the heart of nature! Very welcoming and caring hosts!

  • A place to stay just as we like it: beautiful nature, a warm welcome, good milk, it's all there!

  • Couldn't have been better, we were right next to Mont st michel.
    A warm and friendly welcome!
    Thank you ????
