The feet in the water, the head in the stars!
You will fall asleep to the melodious sound of the Couarde river and will even be able to refresh yourself in the shade of the walnut and alder trees.
You will share this privileged setting with only one or two other visitors.
Only 1km from the medieval castle of Sarzay village and 6km from all the sites in Sandia, everything is accessible by bike and bikes are generously provided.
You are also on the direct way to the Chemin de Compostelle via Vézelay and wonderful hikes will enchant your stay!

The setting

You will be immediately disconnected thanks to the authentic aspect of an 18th century country estate.
You will have the impression to go back in time by rediscovering the typical barn with door of the southern Boischaut, still in its juice.
You will be welcomed by the sweet song of the turtle-doves and the cuddles of the long-haired tomcat.
You will feel protected by the affectionate little doggie throughout your stay.
All of them will guide you to the wildest, most peaceful and quiet corner of the half hectare property.
You will be able to enjoy nefles, curé pears and belles filles de l'Indre apples and put your towel under the fruit trees of this small family orchard!
The stars alone will light up your nights so that you can see the river and sometimes the beautiful cream-colored vaches, on the other side of the Couarde. They are part of the scenery made up of hedges and hedgerows.

The spots

You will settle down along the river, in the shade of the fruit trees of an authentic orchard.
You will discover, between plum and cherry trees, some forgotten objects from the beginning of the 20th century such as washing machines and basins of yesteryear as well as an outdoor shower and bathtub.
Easy to access by foot, the land is rather flat and you can install a cozy nest for your couple. A single person and/or with a child will feel surrounded, confident and secure night and day and you will not need to bury your safe!

The sanitary facilities

Naturally ecological sanitary facilities!
You will have the impression to be one with nature since the sun will heat your shower water, in the trees...And you will be able to admire this setting sun while taking your shower, view on the Couarde.
The ancestor of the washing machine will be used as sink.

The amenities

A return to the essential!
The experience you are going to live is a challenge to yourself! And you will discover that it is possible to live well 'simply'!
You will feel better and be proud to act for the planet by using the kettle of your childhood or the pots and dishes will remind you of your old vacation memories!
Salt, pepper and...natural sugar: everything is on site if needed.
Sharing of internet connection possible if you want to disconnect only partially.

The activities

Culture, swimming and fishing, hiking and biking!
And yes! You are in the middle of the novel circuit of the writer George Sand!
The closest to one of her sites is in the village of Sarzay (medieval castle) and you can hike a part of the Compostelle path to get there. All the other Sandian sites are only about 6km away.
This is how you can discover with serenity the Angibault mill or the Mare au diable by bike!
It is up to you to discover the small rivers: a paradise for bathers and fishermen and there are many in the area (the owner will be happy to let you in on the secret!

Peace and quiet are to be preserved please.

Land & setting
  • Fabienne welcomes you with a huge smile and a bag full of memories of travels and encounters that she shares with passion. The bivouac site is secluded, near a stream and under fruit trees. No onlookers.

Thank you for a wonderful time.

  • My stay went very well! The place is really very pleasant! Fabienne is a very friendly person and very kind!
    Thank you for this experience

  • Perfect stay
Fabienne is a beautiful person who breathes beautiful energy into the place she proposes.
The site is very beautiful and conforms to the description.
Concerning the ground, I had read a comment which said that it was necessary to have big mattresses, for my part a mattress of treck (not very thick) was enough to make me spend beautiful night.
    I highly recommend it.
I'm looking forward to coming back to the region and to Fabienne's place, which is really well run.

  • Fabienne welcomed us very well in a bucolic setting, between a charming stream and an old farmhouse.
The only drawback was that our mattresses were too thin for the slightly bumpy ground.
