Description

Our names are Marta and Pietro, and since the fall of 2015 we have been pooling our strengths and our beehives to try to give life to a sustainable agriculture project in a small plot of about ten hectares, in the heart of Chianti.
Since 2019 we have opened a small agricamping, with the desire to promote in our area a type of tourism linked to nature and curious about the animals that live in our countryside.

We are Marta and Pietro, from autumn 2015 we started a project. It is about sustainable agriculture on a little plot of land of 10 hectares, in the heart of the Chianti.
From 2019 we opened a little agricampeggio with the desire to promote our region and our way of life, a natural tourism, living next to the animals and nature.

The setting

The campsite is located on the highest part of our land, among the last olive trees and the beginning of the small forest that separates us from the road.

The campsite is located in the heights of our land.

The spots

It consists of six large tent or van sites, about 60 square meters each, and equipped with an electrical outlet and a small street lamp. The sanitary facilities, which include a shower, an outdoor shower, three toilets, a full bathroom for the disabled, two dishwashing stations and two laundry stations, are a few meters away from the pitch area, while the yard where you can leave your cars is about two hundred meters away; you can still use a smaller yard near the tent area to unload your luggage.
At the moment we do not have a refreshment stand, but depending on the time of year, our products will be available: goat cheeses, honey, and vegetables; a small supermarket is still a five-minute drive away.
If you would be interested in learning more about the environment in which you will be staying and would like to get acquainted with the bees and goats with whom you will be sharing it, at a due distance, we will be happy to tell you about our work and show you up close the lives of our wonderful animals.

There are 6 big pitches of 60 m2 more or less for tents or vans. There is an electric plug and a little light. The sanitary services which include a shower, toilet, an access for disabled people... are near the pitches.

The activities

In our agricamping you can relax enjoying the silence of nature, see the animals and the daily activities of the farm. We cooperate with a hiking guide who , upon reservation, can accompany you on excursions in the area. We also recommend to our guests a wine tasting at the family winery, which is located only 10 minutes from the campsite.

In our campsite you can relax in the silence of the countryside, you can see the goats and the other animals we have at the farm and watching the daily activities. We collaborate with a hiking guide and you can therefore book an excursion in advance. We also recommend a wine tasting at our family winery which is 10 min from the camping, also reachable by foot.

Other things

Produciamo formaggi e miele, e i bambini potranno vedere gli animali del nostro agricampeggio.

We produce cheese and honey and the children will be able to see and play with the animals.

Situation
  • Very pleasant location and very clean sanitary facilities

  • We spent 2 nights at this campsite and met Marta and Pietro, very kind and welcoming hosts. The site is beautiful with a magnificent view over the countryside. Living in the city, we were looking for peace and quiet, hence the choice of this campsite. For a night or 2, it worked out quite well. The campsite is well equipped and local produce was on sale. On the other hand, the large number of tents, camper vans etc. and the lack of civility of some other holidaymakers (very noisy in the middle of the night) on the site didn't give us the calm of the countryside we were looking for. So great for one or 2 nights, but we wouldn't have stayed for a week given our objective.

  • A true haven of peace!

We had planned to spend just one night here, but ended up staying a total of 5 days. Many thanks to Marta and Pietro for this wonderful project, which allows us to enjoy the beauty of Tuscany to the rhythm of the cicadas.

    The ++ points

    - Numerous and always clean sanitary facilities, with paper and hot water

    - Plot dotted with olive trees, so there's plenty of shade

    - The opportunity to take an interest in the hosts' daily chores (milking the goats in the morning is not to be missed!)

    - A mini-shop selling local products produced by the hosts: goat's cheese, honey, wine, etc.

    - Marta and Pietro were very friendly and accommodating

    The only negative point:
    - Difficult to leave ;)

  • Beautiful views, pitches surrounded by olive trees with access to electricity. Plenty of clean toilets, space to wash dishes and a fridge for campers. Just a little disappointed by the lack of personal welcome and communication from the host, who seemed overwhelmed - which is a shame, because that's what you'd expect from a home-stay.

  • It took 3 days for the owners to answer me that all their pitches were taken. They still made me a proposal to put my tent but without access to electricity. Having found an alternative in the meantime, I declined but I was still charged. Despite my various attempts, they never reimbursed me nor answered for a night paid 25 euros that I did not spend with them. I find this really dishonest.

  • Very nice place.

  • Very good welcome. The host was always available if needed :) The place was really nice to pitch your tent, under the olive trees.
    Thanks a lot !

  • Peaceful and respectful place...
    Thank you!

  • We had a great time in this very quiet and beautiful place. We left with honey and cheese from the farm. We really recommend it.

  • A superb panorama, a huge field of olive trees for well shaded tent sites, very clean sanitary facilities and a very nice and pleasant host.
Following a storm, unfortunately the electricity did not come back and we had to leave... But we were completely refunded!

  • One night stay.
Close to Siena (40') and Florence (45')
Well equipped campsite, clean sanitary facilities, small kitchen area but with everything you need to cook and heat.
    Beautiful view.
Local products for sale on site.
    Quiet and family atmosphere.
    Thank you for your welcome!

  • Stay of 5 days with 2 tents. We had a wooden table for us. Very nice and peaceful place.

  • Pleasant camping <on the farm> on a human scale and well equipped. Ideally located between Siena and Florence. We recommend.

  • We had a great stay. Very nice and relaxing.

  • This little camping spot is simply beautiful, set in the middle of Tuscan fields, with fresh goat cheese and delicious honey produced on site. The sanitary facilities are beautiful, pleasant to use and always clean.
And the owners are extremely welcoming. You can buy goat cheese and honey as well as local wine by leaving the corresponding amount in a small mailbox. Simplicity, respect and trust are the key words! We loved our stay there (for a family of two adults plus 2 children of 11 and 12 years old with a big tent)

  • Beautiful setting with lovely people who carry beautiful and meaningful values.
    Thank you <3

  • Excellent stay at Apicorno. The welcome and the attention paid to the campers are really nice, we feel the owners concerned! The facilities and services (sale of honey, wine, fridge available etc...) are OK. Have a nice life at Apicorno. Jean-Luc

  • We had a great stay here. The setting is beautiful and I would highly recommend trying their cheese and honey which are delicious!

  • A great experience in an idyllic and unique place run by loving hosts. Super dear other guests made our (unfortunately due to time only very short) stay perfect. THANK YOU for that!!!

  • Basic welcome. Sanitary facilities etc... very well equipped and very clean. Possibility to buy their own honey and goat cheese production.

  • Beautiful campsite surrounded by nature in the hills of Chianti. Bathrooms always clean, a refrigerator is available for guests and there is the possibility to buy products from the farm (not to be missed, cheese and honey delicious), but also wine from nearby producers. Marta and Pietro are super welcoming and helpful. Twice a day you can watch the milking of the goats.

  • A beautiful place and a warm welcome! I highly recommend this place!

  • Great night in this field of olive trees, magical view, I recommend ????

  • Really nice spot with a wonderful view on the toscan hills. Perfect to travel in Toscane

  • Very nice place, good communication, clean sanitary facilities

  • We really enjoyed the place which is surrounded by nature. The place was always clean. Pietro and Marta are very kind hosts, they were always available for questions or tipps. We learned a lot about bees and goats! We had an amazing time, thank you!

  • If you are looking for a quiet pitch to plant your tent, a perfect combination of amenities, a beautiful view, great hosts, come to Apicorno, you will not be disappointed.

  • Beautiful place in the heart of Tuscany.
    Lovely and available hosts.
Possible tasting of wine and cheese of the domain.
    We will come back !
