Description

A bivouac spot in the heart of nature, with a small stream running quietly through the grounds, we offer you the chance to rest and recharge your batteries in a setting that couldn't be greener.

We welcome you with our dog, our chickens and our sheep to our little corner of paradise.

The setting

Located not far from downtown Huy, our bivouac is in a small, remote valley, bordered by meadows and forests. Our grounds are a haven of peace.

A small stream completes our little paradise for recharging your batteries in the midst of nature.

The spots

We offer two tent pitches (for 2/3 people). A hammock + tarp is also available for light travelers.

The pitches are opposite each other in a secluded spot, in the shade and on flat ground.

The sanitary facilities

Drinking water and electricity are available throughout your stay in a small room at the back of the house. A sink, basin and kettle are at your disposal.

However, there are no showers or toilets.

The amenities

We offer electricity for recharging smartphones, GPS devices, bicycle batteries, etc.

No hot water, but an electric kettle is available.
Possibility of building a fire for cooking or for ambiance.

The activities

We're just a stone's throw from Grand Marchin and "Latitude 50" - Pôle des arts du cirque et de la rue.

We're close to the GR 575/576, the Hoyoux Valley, the Meuse, the RaVel, ...

Just 2 km from downtown Huy, you can take full advantage of all the activities this charming town has to offer: restaurants, bars, museums, eco-museum, shops, the Fort, the Collegiate Church, boat trip on the Val Mosan, children's amusement park at Mont Mosan, Tibetan Institute, ....

On request and subject to availability, we also offer an introduction to bivouac (approx. 1 hour: philosophy, points of attention, safety, campfires...).

Other things

Be careful if you're following your GPS, the plot number is not in the right place.
We've put up a sign at the beginning of our driveway with our number and a fox ;)

Rules

Our bivouac is first and foremost a stopping-off point, a place to rest and pitch your tent for the night (or longer if necessary). It's by no means a bistro/pétanque and fountain music campsite ;-)

No timetable, just come and go as you please :)

We offer a place in the middle of nature and ask you to respect it: quietness, garbage, ...

We offer the possibility of making a fire in the dedicated area, conditions permitting and respecting safety instructions. Dead wood is available on the property. We also have matches and lighters (no firelighters). An introduction to good campfire practice can be provided if required (safety, different lighting techniques...) :-)

Access to the creek is at your own risk.

Extras

Tent ready

If necessary, we can supply additional equipment.
Let us know what you need and we'll tell you what we have :-)

Situation
  • Beautiful location in the heart of nature. However, I wouldn't recommend it for young children, as the river below is dangerous (and inaccessible).

  • What a pleasure to have been able to enjoy this magnificent haven of peace in the middle of nature!
And a great welcome too! Thank you so much for offering this beautiful place :-)

  • Coool !!
