Description

Gorgeous views right off of hwy 97 and only a few minute drive to the famous town of Gonzales, Texas where the first shot was fired during the Mexican war. The town of Gonzales has that old southern charm in old town with many things to do which includes, golfing, horse shows, hiking, museums, swimming, kayaking, shopping, and fishing. Within a 2-minute drive is the truck stop that has ice for 10lbs =$1.00 or 20lbs=$1.50. Drinking water is $0.25gal or 5gal for $1.00
Within a couple hour drive, you can be in Austin, San Antonio or the beach with plenty of sight seeing along the way.

The setting

Light traffic on hwy 97, beautiful views of the countryside, morning cows and roosters making noise

The spots

Ground is grass, and level with a slight hill in the front. We are still building our property up so there are plenty of trees in the back for shade access. There is a double gate once you arrive to the property, and we are on the right-hand side with the RV. We are still in the process of getting fencing put up, and timber cut down.

The sanitary facilities

We currently don't have bathroom or showers on site but are a short distance to town where a state park is located

The amenities

We allow enclosed fire pits and BBQs, and have a trip pod campfire rack to borrow upon request. We sell firewood bundles at $5.00 per bundle, and multiple jams for sale at $8.00 a jar.

The activities

On site is a good place to relax, if your feeling like you want something to do, Gonzales is a few minute drives where you can find museums, shopping centers, kayaking, swimming, hiking, experience the small town southern charm, golfing, and many more activities.

Other things

This area of Texas is hot during the day, with cooler, moist weather at night.
