Description

Welcome to our unpretentious but welcoming, fully enclosed garden. Humbly laid out, but planted and flowered to make you feel at home, comfortable and secure. Our aim is to make your stay as uncomplicated and enjoyable as possible.
Situated opposite a bakery, you can easily satisfy your breakfast cravings at the start of a good day, before setting off for a walk.

The setting

The enclosed garden, an added safety feature for children, features cherry trees, Japanese cherry trees, lilacs, hibiscus, magnolias and a variety of plants and flowers, including roses, bignonias, ravenella clematis and arums....
Street lighting goes (email hidden)No or very few vehicles pass (email hidden)In the morning, they are more frequent, as well as in the early evening.

The spots

The garden is easily accessible through a large gate.
Its surface is not 100% flat, but it's easy to pitch your tent comfortably, in the shade of a cherry tree or further apart to catch the sun.
For the well-being of Homecampers, tents should not be large. As far as minivans are concerned, our gate is 2.65 m wide and the access road is not a boulevard.

The sanitary facilities

The sanitary facilities (showers and toilets) are totally independent of our home and completely dedicated to Homecampers. There is no set timetable, respecting the freedom of each individual.
A cold-water sink is available outside, and a hot-water tap and socket are located 2 m away at the entrance to the garage.

The amenities

Facilities include a garden room with freezer, fridge, wifi, sockets and phone charger just in case, and a TV. An extension cord can be borrowed for outside power.
This room can also be used to shelter Homecampers in the event of very bad weather.
A clothesline in the garden and washing lines in the basement are available to our homecampers.
Guests can ask for anything, and we'll be happy to accommodate them to the best of our ability.

The activities

The beach is less than 15 minutes away on foot, and there's no shortage of seaside activities. For those without a car, there's a free bus service to the surrounding area and beaches, so you don't have to worry about parking. Sea and countryside go hand in hand, and there's something for everyone.
The Channel Islands and the Chausey Islands can be reached by speedboat from the port of Granville, a 5-minute drive away, or by bus (guided tours with a guide specializing in the canal islands are available), not forgetting our must-see Mt St Michel, 52 km away, the D-Day landing beaches, around 1h15 away, and the old Granville Cité Corsaire.
The variety of restaurants on the port or inland, from beachside straw huts to more traditional eateries, means you'll have a great time enjoying good food without breaking the bank.

Other things

Our welcome is based on trust in every respect. Nothing is imposed.
Washing machines and tumble dryers are available on request for €2.50 per wash (washing powder not supplied or €0.50 extra) and €2.50 per dry.

Rules

Nothing is imposed on our guests... welcome to children, with their joie de vivre, free access at all hours, smokers or non-smokers. Total freedom. All we ask is that homecampers live together in harmony, respecting the environment and the well-being of their neighbors.
All welcome.

  • Very warm welcome.
    Private showers and toilets.

Very flexible about arrival and departure times.
Plot a little small and close to the road, which is noisy.

But it makes it much easier to get to Granville and the surrounding area.

I came by motorcycle and they let me shelter my bike in their garden.

    I'd recommend it.

  • Truly a fantastic experience! Gaetane made us feel welcome the second she opened the door and it only got better from there. A beautiful garden with plenty of space and great facilities, and she even went out of her way to give an even better stay. Absolutely 5 out of 5 and I can fully recommend staying here if you are in the area!

  • Thank you very much Gaëtane for your warm, pleasant and welcoming welcome
Thank you for keeping us dry after a week of rain in Normandy.

  • Perfect, thank you very much to Gaetane.

  • A big thank you to Gaetane and her husband for their warm welcome. They have both had at heart to facilitate my stay (and the installation) in their home.
Everything is functional: shower, toilet, garage for the bike, access to the laundry room in case of rain.
Quick response. Adaptation to the basic needs but important for people who hike. From
A good address .... to circulate without moderation among hikers on foot, bike, horse ? :-)

  • I called several times but I could not speak to this person it was always the answering machine. I have another reservation at the campsite La Vague in Granville and the man who takes care of the reservations let me a site from Saturday August 13 to Monday August 15, 2022. I had booked with Gautane J. from Saturday 13th to Monday 15th August 2022.

  • We were very well received by Gaëtane. The shower and toilets are independent and practical. The small garden in which we pitched our tent is also very pleasant and we were able to recharge our phones, batteries and watches! The fact that the bakery is opposite is a real plus!

  • Just passing through for a night, top ! Thanks for the welcome :)
