A garden in the heart of a small Aisne town. 8 km from Eurovéloroute n°3.
Only the sound of birdsong will disturb the peacefulness of the setting.
You're in the heart of the forest and in the heart of history.

You can do your shopping on foot in 2 minutes.

The spots

Flat terrain. Possibility of pitching your tent near the trees, at the bottom of the plot (peace and quiet guaranteed... except for the birdsong...).
Access via owner's carriage entrance or garage.
Bikes and cars can be parked under cover.
Garden furniture and barbecue available on loan.

The sanitary facilities

Access to the toilets in the house (shared with the owner).
On the other hand, unlimited access to the house's independent laundry room: shower, sink, washing machine, dryer, clothesline, hot and cold water, electrical outlet (extension cord if required).

Access to kitchen on request (owner's shifted hours).

The activities

Local hiking trails in the Saint-Gobain forest.
Horse-riding and horse-drawn carriage rides 3 minutes away.
La Frette lake and beach 10 minutes away.
Less than 30 minutes away: Coucy-le-Château and its magnificent medieval castle, La Fère, a former military town, Tergnier and the Resistance museum, Chauny, Laon and its 80 historic monuments, Soissons and the Chemin des Dames, Saint-Quentin and its museums (Quentin-de-la-Tour; butterflies and MBK), etc.

Rules

Arrival and departure possible at any time, provided you give at least one day's notice.
Occupation of the site as a "good father of the family": noise limited to family life. Quiet between 10pm and 7am.
Possibility of going out in the evening after 8pm. On request, a key to the porte cochère will be provided to enter at your convenience.
Smoking allowed, only near the tent.
Large area for children to play outside (balls, rackets, etc. provided).
Some animals accepted. Please ask owner before booking.

Possibility of breakfast (€5 / person)

Full breakfast: hot drink, fruit juice, cereal, yogurt, cheese, homemade jam, fresh bread and croissant
Possibility of 2 fresh eggs (hard-boiled, fried, soft-boiled) (from our hens) or cold meats: €2 extra per breakfast

  • We stayed in Fabienne’s beautiful garden in St Gobain for two nights and had a fantastic time! Fabienne is absolutely lovely and incredibly welcoming. She made some great suggestions for places to visit nearby - we ended up cycling to Laon, which was a great day-trip.

    The facilities are all excellent and very convenient. The garden is beautiful, quiet and felt very safe.

    We can only ever so highly recommend Fabienne’s place - and her breakfast!
