Hello, we'd like to introduce you to our 3,000 m2 garden, which includes a one-hectare pond, a permaculture area and a second area devoted to animal husbandry.
You'll have no hesitation in gleaning a few vegetables and fruits.
The natural aspect of the site has been preserved.
Countless birds.
Since 2007, a family of beavers has built a lodge on the pond.
We reserve a space for you, away from the house and the street, to ensure your privacy and serenity.

The setting

We're in the heart of the Fagne-Famenne region.
We're near a lake, in the countryside.
Nature is luxuriant.
Watch for murrelets at dusk.
You'll be lulled to sleep by the croaking of green frogs.

The pitches are flat and secluded, located between the river and the pond.

The sanitary facilities

Our dry toilets are available. You can also use a high tent and a mobile toilet.

The amenities

The activities

We offer a wide range of activities: fishing, donkey rides, self-guided or guided hikes, beaver stalking or visits to sites designed by the renowned river architect.
We can also offer you an evening of storytelling around the fire.
With his passion for the plant world and culture, Karl can also introduce you to wilderness cooking.
A visit to the farm animals on site will delight the children. The region abounds in cultural, sporting and leisure activities.

Other things

By prior arrangement, we can offer you a meal by the pond.
If you're a little chilly, our brazier will warm you up.

Schedules are flexible and adapted to your needs.
Children are of course welcome.

  • Very first experience of camping/roof-tending and delighted that it happened at Karl's place, so excellent the setting. Surrounded by donkeys and sheep. Thanks for the hospitality and help with the fire.

  • Everything was perfect, from the welcome, to the setting, to the quiet location by the pond. A big thank you to Karl for his welcome and kindness.
We were able to meet the family of ane, in search of a cuddle, so be warned, don't leave anything lying around (even your camping chairs) or you'll be waking up very early! we'll be back and will recommend this place with pleasure.

  • Great! A great welcome, a beautiful place. Surrounded by donkeys looking for cuddles.
A beautiful break out of time.
    We'll be back!

  • A night in a roof tent with 2 dogs and all went very well. Donkeys, sheep and even a biquette came to say hello ;-)

  • The overnight stay was a unique experience for us. I highlight the picturesque setting, the sheep, the cute donkey, the pigs in the pen in the distance.... You just have to be careful where you step... :-) The owner wasn't at home, but his son did it for him... Thank you

  • A wonderful discovery in a bucolic setting, surrounded by animals.
Karl is very attentive to making sure everything runs smoothly (thanks for the little cakes that were waiting for us when we woke up ????????).
It's a shame the weather wasn't favorable, but we spent 2 very pleasant nights.
    Thank you ????

  • A real little paradise for those seeking peace and quiet in nature.
Depending on where you set up camp, you'll be visited by donkeys, sheep or chickens, and in the pond you can even watch beavers at dusk (with a little patience).

  • Quiet, bucolic surroundings.
Karl is very pleasant and friendly.

We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

  • We spent two memorable evenings surrounded by animals. The setting is really very nice. Comfort is rudimentary, but we're in the peace and quiet of the countryside, on the edge of a charming little pond. Karl is very welcoming and friendly.

  • Hello ! We spent an excellent weekend in the superb property of Karl who is a caring person who cares about the well-being of his guests. It's a charming, poetic place with lovely walks in the surrounding area. We'll treasure our memories of this wonderful encounter! (Thanks again for the cauliflower salad (❁'◡`❁) ).
    The Lacroix family.

  • Nice place. Close to the Eau d'Heure lakes and many hiking trails. The setting is very welcoming, as are the owners. Just a little noisy, perhaps, with the rooster rising around 5 a.m. and the hens pecking around the tent... But apart from that, really nice: boat on the pond, brazier available, no facing other campers. In short, to be recommended.

  • We had an excellent weekend on Karl's site.
We had a pitch in the shade between 4 trees.
It was very pleasant considering the exceptional temperatures in June.
The site is situated between a pond and a small stream.
Sheep roam freely on the site, much to the delight of the children.
Perfect for a stay in a roof tent.
We talked a lot with Karl about his magnificent vegetable garden. We were delighted to taste some of his produce.
Thank you Karl for your warm welcome.

  • Wonderful weekend spent with the kids. This was our second visit and we'll probably be back!

  • A great welcome, a magical place and an unforgettable breakfast!

  • First homecamper test for us, and we couldn't have chosen a better one. The campsite is magnificent. Karl is a great host and there are some great walks in the area. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it.

  • We loved the atypical setting, the welcome and the chat with Karl, a guaranteed break from the daily grind.

  • Karl is a very caring person and makes you feel very welcome. As expected, the breakfast was fabulous. I really recommend this timeless moment with the donkeys and the sheep.

  • Host was very nice and helpful. Very quiet. Camping in between donkey's and sheep is quite the experience :). No 4g connection (which is nice!). Good hiking routes provided by host. Recommend!

  • We left with Stoemelings as a family and were pleasantly surprised and even subjugated by what we discovered when we arrived at Karl and his family's place. Very nice and welcoming, he directed us right in front of the beaver lodge. We spent one night and one day walking around the place to observe the donkeys, the sheep, the herons who come to fish in the pond, the wild geese passing by and the carps in reproduction period. This spot is ideal for a bivouac with children because it allows everyone to enjoy in peace. Thanks again to Karl and his family for sharing their haven of peace. We warmly recommend it.

  • Karl welcomed us very warmly in his little corner of paradise!
The environment is great for campers like us, sharing the aperitif with the donkeys and the breakfast with the mounts was an experience we would love to repeat but next time with our children ;-)
We had our own tent with dry toilets that we installed where we wanted.
The restaurant "Le presbytère" recommended by our host which is 800 meters away is very nice.
But our favorite moment of our stay was the breakfast because it is really EXCEPTIONAL, Karl brought it to us by boat, a real breakfast, worthy of a 4 stars hotel! I think we had never eaten such an EXTRA breakfast!!! If you have the opportunity to pass by Karl's place do not hesitate !!!

  • very nice reception (attention: no 4G on Proximus)

  • A weekend away from everyday life!
    A magnificent and relaxing setting.
    An exceptional welcome!
A breakfast of king! With local products! (Even in hotel one does not have better)
This place of paradise wants to take time for itself.
Thank you karl for this welcome and for all that you have given us the desire to accomplish!

  • A fabulous place and a welcome worthy of the place
    Friendly and authentic
I came looking for a place of nature and tranquility, it was perfect
    A must see
I can't wait to come back

  • Everything was perfect!
    Thank you Karl

  • A haven of peace, quite simply! A friendly welcome and enriching exchanges! I will come back again!

  • I had a great stay! Very warm welcome from Karl and his family. Very good advice for the walks and the restaurants. My friends who joined me for the end of the weekend also loved the nature of the place.
To do again without hesitation !

  • It is the ideal place that we were looking for, the nature, the water, the animals, the kindness! Perfect for us. We will come back.

  • Attentive and warm welcome in an enchanting setting!
To discover absolutely and the breakfast is a beautiful cherry on this divine cake ;-)

  • We spend a fantastic weekend with our 2 boys at Karl's. Karl and his wife are very friendly & attentive hosts and our boys loved the animals. I would highly recommend this place.

  • Great place and well located! Great welcome! A real little paradise! I recommend it! Thank you very much

  • We were looking for a quiet and nice place to camp. And Karl gave us this! We could ask him all for our campingtrip. Thank you for everything! See you next time!

  • How about spending a little time disconnected from everything, in the middle of nature, in a place that makes you dream, all while remaining in Belgium and without it costing you an arm?
Why not go to Karl's big field? A huge field, on which you will be in the company of a lot of animals; from the donkey to the beaver, passing by the cat and the chickens? You will be able to install your tent or your caravan around a big pond in the middle of the animals. In short, a paradise for all nature lovers but also for children who will be able to play without worrying about the neighbors.
If I can make any recommendation, I strongly advise you to have at least one breakfast on the spot, as it is delicious. The products are fresh, local and/or homemade and for others, it comes directly from the garden. What more could you ask for? The other recommendation would be to take the evening meal, since it too is excellent. Like the breakfast, homemade, local, from the garden etc. And to eliminate all that, what would you say to a walk with the donkeys which will please the youngest, as well as the oldest.
A wonderful stay, gourmet, all possible thanks to the hospitality and kindness of Karl. A wonderful place to spend a few days to recharge your batteries, or to visit the region.

  • Karl is a very welcoming and caring host! He does everything to make sure you have a good stay on his property. A beautiful place. We had the chance to admire the beaver in all its splendor. An unforgettable stay, thank you Karl!

  • Idyllic setting, warm welcome, many activities nearby, top!
We will return with great pleasure.
A big thank you to Karl and his partner.

  • It was simply FANTASTIC! Definitely the best experience we have had this week. What a warm welcome (both from Karl and the donkeys) and a delicious breakfast! We will definitely be back!

  • Wonderful stay in a real little corner of paradise! The setting is magnificent! Perfect to live an experience at the rhythm of nature.
A pleasure to be surrounded by farm animals (donkeys, sheep, chickens, roosters, pigs,. This is a great pleasure for the children!
The boat was also a great experience! Our son loved walking the whole family on the water.
We will keep beautiful memories as a family. ????????
Everything is with the small care for the campers Karl provides us the necessary to take a good shower and does not hesitate to give us small councils when one needs it.
I recommend the place without hesitation! And we will come back with great pleasure.
Thank you again for your welcome and for sharing your beautiful property with us ????

  • What a pleasure to return to Karl's place. A beautiful place to pitch a tent next to a beaver pond. Great observations guaranteed.

  • We felt very comfortable with Karl and his animals. The place by the pond is romantic and very quiet. A magical nature with many trees and flowers. The breakfast was a pleasure!

  • Very beautiful spot, very quiet, perfect to get away from life. Would totally recommend it. Only a dry toilet provided, I was hoping you could swim in the ponds, but that's not really possible. The donkeys are very cute and cuddly, sometimes a bit much even ;-)

  • It was beautiful =) perfect location, perfect welcome, perfect breakfast.

  • A beautiful pitch on the house's own lake with boat in nature, with electricity. The breakfast is highly recommended.
On the farm live many animals, we were especially pleased with the friendly group of donkeys that visited us regularly. The booking and contact with our nice host, with whom we could communicate well in English on site, was uncomplicated. We liked it very much, we felt very comfortable there.
