Description

The Valtro Le Nid artists' residence welcomes you from May to October in a calm atmosphere conducive to creation and relaxation.
Here, you can breathe freely, soak up the sounds of nature, and discover unspoilt wildlife in the heart of an eighteen-hectare estate that has been farmed organically for twenty years.
You'll be the only travelers on site, and I only accept one reservation at a time. I live in the house next door, so I'll be on hand in case of any problems, but I'll leave you your privacy.
Here, everything is provided: bed linen, towels, kitchen linen, shower gel*, toothpaste*, washing-up liquid*, basic foodstuffs so that you can prepare your breakfast. *=bio

Song thrushes, blackbirds, roe deer, pheasants, moorhens and so many other animals enjoy themselves here every day. You'll be able to observe them in all their wildness, thanks to walking trails through the meadows, along the hedgerows and through the four hectares of deciduous forest.

To respect nature is to respect ourselves, for we are part of that nature.

The setting

If you like silence, you've come to the right place.
No neighborhood noise.

The spots

The room is located in a stone building, the oldest parts of which date back to the 11th century.
You'll be seduced by the authenticity of the atmosphere typical of old houses, and the benefits of noble materials such as wood, lime and terracotta floor tiles will bring you an incomparable softness.

The sanitary facilities

Outdoor shower with gas-fired hot water.
Dry toilets.

The amenities

You can cook, and there's everything you need to make your stay a pleasant one. Fridge, microwave oven, gas hob.
The building is fully wired for electricity.

The activities

Take a stroll along the many hiking trails, visit the Grottes de Saulges site, its prehistory museum, the Château de Sainte-Suzanne, etc.

Other things

The maximum stay is 6 nights. End-of-stay cleaning is included in the price.
You're in charge of your own daily cleaning: dishes, hob cleaning, recycling garbage can in the compost, dry toilets in the compost every 2 days.

Rules

There is no smoking in the buildings.
I'll give you a portable ashtray if you smoke, which you can empty into the garbage can.

THERE ARE TOO MANY HAZARDS FOR ME TO ACCEPT CHILDREN (moat, well, etc.)

Guide dogs for the blind are allowed. Other animals are not.
The site is run as an organic farm. Only organic cosmetics are permitted. I supply shower gel, shampoo and washing-up liquid. If you prefer to use your own, please use organic cosmetics.
