Description

We have a farm where we grow onions, sugarbeets, wheat and Belgian Endives. We also rent our land to a tulip farmer.
We live here with our family of 4 kids.

The setting

Agricultural setting, next to a secondary road. At the end of the road there's a swimming area with restaurant. Also a golfcourse.

The spots

Depending on the agricultural activity we can say which part could be used for parking. Our garden in front could be used as a spot to set up a tent. Its levelled grass next to a vegetable garden where you can pick seasonal food. There's no shade. But you can make use of a small canteen with running water and television

The sanitary facilities

no bathroom or toilet facilities! For now you could make use of our toilet in our home. But we're looking into other possibilities to have a
a separate toilet outside.

The amenities

wifi available. Electricity available in the small canteen. Even a television with netflix. Nothing for cooking available. But you can use electricity for your own cooking set.

The activities

Going on walks, swimming at the swimming area with playground at the end of the road. Playing golf. Nice forests close-by. Kids can also play in our garden. We have a trampoline and swing and other things in our playground.

Rules

Don't leave a mess, and don't make too much noise on late hours, no parties or inviting people over without consent. No drugs. No drunks.No smoking in the cantine.

Possibility of breakfast (€5 / person)

croissants, buns from the oven, cheese, ham orange juice, eggs, jam, nutella , cereals. Everything is flexible and negotiable according to needs and wants.

  • I had a nice stay in Melina's garden, the place is nice and quiet, there's a small lake juste 10min walk away which is nice. The only thing that could be improved is to add a shower.

  • Melina and her husband are very nice and warm people. The farm is located in a beautiful quiet area, with a recreational lake within walking distance. There are some noises from the work on the farm, but that's farm life. The canteen is spacious and practical and a toilet can be used inside the house. It has been a pleasant stay for me.
