Description

Feel welcome in Workum on our nice camping spots near our small port with 24 boats. The water is nice to swim in and there is al lot of fish.
On our property there is enough space for camping.
Nearby is a small town "Workum" with ancient, beautiful houses, a couple musea.
Our spot is 4 km from a big lake "het IJsselmeer" ideal for watching the sun set, swimming, surfing, kiting.
With a boat it is only 1 km from the Frisian lakes, our neighbour has boats for rental.
On 2 km there are kanoos and sailing boats for rental.
Cycling here is beautiful, we have nice cycling routes.
Visit an ancient windmill nearby or a icefarm.
Our property is nearby the train station from Workum, only 0,5 km walk.
Prices are including electricity.

The setting

Swimming and fishing water in front of your camping spot.
Silent place to stay.

The spots

The ground is flat. No size limits for normal tents, caravans and motorhomes.
There are spots in the shade, but normally you don't need the shade.
It is not very windy here.

The sanitary facilities

Toilet, urinoir and shower (with hot water) and a place to wash you dishes (with hot water).

The amenities

Electricity outside, please take your extension cord yourself.
You can leave your mobile device to charge in the sanitary facility if you do not want to use the electricity on your camp spot.

The activities

At the IJsselmeer you can kite, windsurf or swim.
At the camping spot you can swim. Go for a nice walk or bicycle trip. Rentals for bicycles are in Workum. Boat rental at our neighbour. Kano rental and sailing boat rental at 1,5 km.
Horseriding here is beautiful, nearby there are horses.
It is a nice walk to Workum.
The spot is nearby the train station.

Rules

Rules:
For young kids that did not learn to swim we advise to wear a life jacket because of all the water.
Smoking of course not in the sanitary facility.
Please be silient after 23 hours.

Extras

Tent ready

We can make a tent ready for you, we have a tent for 2 persons.
It is a relatively small tent, you can sit and sleep in the tent.
There is a picnick table to use your meals outside.
We put air beds in it for you. Additional payment is Euro 7,50 per night.
