Description

Peaceful organic farm stay. Main campsite is near the front of the property under a huge spreading Pepper tree providing shade and seclusion. Picnic table and fire pit. Pet and feed our friendly chickens and horse. Hear a symphony of wildlife day and night.

The setting

Springtime is best time to visit, when grass is lush and green and weather is cool and sunny. There is light road noise but most nights the sky is clear for an amazing view of the stars. Campsite is near our main house.

The spots

Main site "Party Tree" has a huge spreading Pepper tree and space for 2-3 tents, up to 8 people, and up to 2 cars. Picnic table, firepit, and water hose.
Back pasture is a wide open land, mostly flat but the ground is sometimes pitted, so we recommend AWD or 4WD there. Good for larger parties and events, but groups of any size may use it. You must bring your own shade. No firepits there.

Guests can use the firepit and also bring their own gas-powered camp stoves.
This is camping; we don't provide electricity.

The activities

Guests and hang out with our friendly chickens and feed them. If we have baby birds we can show them. There are also several wineries near us, and hiking trails. For an optional extra charge we provide a simple breakfast: farm fresh eggs, pancakes and coffee (or tea).

Other things

Don't trust GPS, it's WRONG. It'll get you close, but once you get on our street you need to physically LOOK for our number and signs for "Eyrie Farm" to find the right place.

Rules

Check in is from 2pm-9pm. Late arrivals are subject to $20 fee for inconvenience. NO ADMITTANCE after 10pm; NO REFUNDS. Best to arrive before nightfall so you can easily find it. Once you've checked in you may come and go as you please.

Entire property is non-smoking. This is non-negotiable. If guests want to smoke they must go outside the main front gate, and leave it clean. $20 fee if we find cigarette butts after you.

Pets are only allowed on case-by-case basis and must be approved by us to protect our own animals. Pets must be leashed at all times, AND be well-behaved both on and off the leash.

Campfires (when allowed, all year except fall fire season) must be COMPLETELY EXTINGUISHED by completely soaking the ashes to prevent them from re-igniting.

Please do not run after or chase our animals. Let them come to you. This ensures they continue to be friendly.

When using the facilities please clean up after yourselves AND your children.

Extras

Possibility of breakfast ($5 / person)

Farm fresh eggs, pancakes and coffee or tea. If available we include seasonal greens or other home-grown vegetable. Friday, Saturday, Sunday only.
