A little corner of the countryside nestled in the valley of the Dordogne castles, lost in the middle of the walnut trees, come and discover our little corner of paradise.

The setting

Settle down for one or more nights in a XVIIth century house typical of the Périgord Noir planted on the heights of the hills of the medieval village of Daglan, in the heart of the valley of the castles of the Dordogne, our newly acquired property is a perfect pied à terre to explore the region.
Whether you like cultural, sports, sensations, family or shopping days, you will find something to satisfy all your desires with us!
Depending on where you stay, you will be able to hear more or less birds, observe our countryside or the surrounding woods, wake up next to a strolling deer or a curious hare...
A real haven of peace after days full of adventures in the region!

The three pitches we offer are accessible by road, easy to find but without too much traffic, you can settle down peacefully and enjoy your stay while being 2mn from the superb village of Daglan and its amenities and its river Céou, 10mn from Castelnaud-la-Chapelle and its medieval castle perched on the Dordogne, 15mn from Cenac-et-Saint-Julien and its canoes/kayaks or from Domme and its fortified village, landmark of the Templars, 15mn from Vezac and its hot-air balloons, 15mn from la Roque-Gageac and its barges, 25mn from Sarlat-la-Canéda and its weekly market classified among the best markets in France...
Whether you cross the valley of the castles by the so-called tourist way or bypass it, you will appreciate without any doubt the calm of our small piece of friendly countryside and close to everything in a short time in which you will find dozens of pedestrian ways to remain calm and cut off from the world if you do not wish to undergo the afflictions of the crowds!
ATTENTION: our house has a videophone and outside lights but the road, the plots and the pitches do not have city lights or any other kind of lights: you will have to plan if you want to, otherwise it will be dark once the night falls (or almost - depending on the moon...): ideal for nights under the stars!

The spots

We offer you three different locations. Three different accesses.
The first site is accessible on foot (car on the road and descent from the road to the site "across the field" to install you.
View on the surrounding woods and walnut trees.
The second pitch would be ideal for a camping car, a minivan or a caravan: access by the road, flat ground.
Possibility to set up a vehicle and to add tents if needed.
Unobstructed view on the hillside...
The third site is also flat and accessible by the road, you will sleep surrounded by our old orchard, at the back of our building, and also view on the countryside from many sides. If we have the time to rehabilitate them soon you will have independent dry toilets accessible on this third pitch.
In all three cases you can reach us by the road, our house is central and drinking water and electricity are to be "collected" at the house.

The sanitary facilities

For the moment we can guarantee you access to our own sanitary facilities (in the house).
You will have the possibility to take a shower, to brush your teeth, to go to the small corner (please bring your toilet paper) during the day.
We provide an outside tap (cold water, drinking water) in the courtyard of the house, at night nature is your friend for the rest (no city lighting on the land and its surroundings).

The amenities

Being in the countryside and with an old house with very thick walls, internet is accessible by wifi in the vicinity of the house or in the house, if needed.

We can share our kitchen if you need it. We have all the comforts (induction hobs, pyrolysis oven, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, bottle warmer, steam cooker,...) and can lend you dishes (porcelain or plastic), cutlery, various utensils, pots and pans,... If you need we will simply organize ourselves.

We have a folding picnic table that we can also offer if needed. A parasol stand with a classic parasol. Check with us for availability at the time.

As for electricity: you can charge your digital and computer equipment if needed (laptops, cameras, laptops, ...), we can provide an extension cord if needed, to see together.

We can also lend you a charcoal barbecue, just to use on the "secure" surroundings of the house for cooking: our region is very dry and fires are common so we have to be careful with that and ensure the safety of all.

WELCOME FAMILIES: we can lend you bikes, tricycles, draisienne, balls, racket games, books, board games... Don't hesitate to ask us (non families too hehe). We also have childcare equipment that we can lend (booster seat, bibs,...).

We can allow you to use our washing machine in case you need it, this said for a totally atypical immersion: there are two laundries easily accessible in the surroundings and in the town of Daglan. We will be happy to show you where they are located.

The activities

Hiking, horseback riding, cultural outings or events, shopping, Périgourdins markets, discovery of the land, climbing, canoeing, hot air ballooning, vineyard visits, delights of the palate...
Living in the Périgord is a pure joy and coming to discover it is the same!
Come and discover the valley of the 4 castles, the valley of the Dordogne, the valley of the Céou.
Only 3 hours from Bordeaux, 2 hours from Toulouse, 1 hour from Rocamadour: take advantage of this privileged location to get away from it all, to relax and to get away from the daily grind.

You can come to us by train (to Sarlat or Gourdon), by bus, by car, by bike, by horse...
Please note that at this time our grounds are not fenced but that we accept animals (many possibilities for walking, horseback riding etc.. around the property).
It is up to you to take care of their safety and well-being during your stay.
