Description

Camping in the orchard in a small village in the Ried, in the middle of the Rhine-Main area.
You can pitch your tent under the walnut tree. Your neighbor is a real sheep.
The adjacent orchard offers plenty of space for playing and for CamperVans.

We are deconstructing the barn from July to September. Due to the construction site, access to the toilet is dusty during this time and there may be noise during the day. Feel free to ask about the current status before booking.

Great excursions to the Rhine, nature and bird sanctuaries, vineyards, lakes or the cities of Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Mainz and Wiesbaden.

The setting

The garden is idyllic and partly overgrown and the birds are chirping. But the place is located in the village and adjoins other gardens and is close to Frankfurt. Accordingly, the neighbors and also airplanes can be heard.

The spots

The place offers enough shade. All pitches are on the grass. The plot is very long, but only 14m wide.
The meadow offers space for max. 3 CamperVans or tents. The meadow is not at ground level.

The sanitary facilities

In the barn there is a sink and toilet with well water.

The activities

- Shopping in one of the many farm stores in the village. There are vegetables, meat and seasonal strawberries and asparagus. And our bakery is open daily from 05:30-18:00 (all also on Sundays).
- Walks in the fen e.g. on the Kühkopf near Erfelden (6,5 km away)
- Paddling on the Altrhein near Riedstadt (10 km away)
- Visiting various lakes in the vicinity e.g. Riedsee (5 km away), See Vogel (8 km away) or Frei Bäder Groß-Gerau, Trebur etc. (all with entrance fee)
- Walk in the vineyards of Oppenheim/Nierstein (13km away by ferry)
- Shopping in the Loop5 shopping center near Weiterstadt (14km away)
- Visit to the art nouveau city of Darmstadt (20 km away)
- Visit of Frankfurt am Main by train (approx. 35 min to the main station and 45 min to the shopping mall Zeil)

Other things

We are located near water protection areas. At dusk there are snakes (mosquitoes). We recommend long clothes, a net, insect spray or a campfire ;)

Rules

- No parties
- Only barbecue or fire on concrete slabs at the barn or meadow
- Night rest from 23:00h to 06:00h
- No garbage left behind (garbage cans are available)
