Description

3 NIGHTS MINIMUM.
My campsite and gîtes are registered with the Pontenx les Forges town hall and are partners of the OIT tourist office in Mimizan.

Very comfortable, quiet, secure, well-equipped, fully fenced campsite, accessible 24 hours a day through a digicode gate.
Possibility of privatizing the site. Quiet groups accepted (up to 20 people).
A place that aims to reduce its carbon footprint as much as possible. Successfully tested.

This year, new facilities have been added for your comfort, which I haven't yet photographed, including: a large 6m x 6m barnum with lighting, under which you'll find tables and chairs for shade from the sun or shelter from the rain.

A second dry toilet, a cooking area (with your own stove) and a stainless steel double sink for washing up.
Come and recharge your batteries far from the crowds, in a quiet airial 20 minutes from the ocean, under hundred-year-old oaks and hazel trees (shade available).
At the end of our flat, sandy terrain, against the forest, far from the turpitude of seaside resorts or crowded campsites.

At the end of a residential cul-de-sac, against the forest, within walking distance of the village center.

English spoken - Hablo espagnol un poquito lo entiendo bien - Io parlo un poco italiano pero lo capisco abbastanza bene

The setting

Ideal for a quiet stay in a charming, well-equipped site.
Sleeps 20 - Campsite registered with the town hall.

Quiet location suited to customers keen to enjoy the coast, ocean, lakes and forest.

Unfortunately, children under 9 cannot be accommodated.

Pets are not allowed - even if they are small, friendly and well-behaved...

There are no vans or vehicles on the property, only tents. Vehicles are parked at the entrance to the property to respect the peace and quiet of the campers.
However, if you would like to stay in a caravan, van or camper van, please contact me to find out how this can be done. The idea is that there should be no "traffic" near the tents.

Secure, fenced plot, against the forest, in a quiet location. Direct access to the cycle path and village center via the forest (10 min. walk), as well as to the sports center and children's park.

2 very pleasant dry toilets and 1 dry pissoir (always clean and odorless), large outdoor showers (with hot water available), toilet area, dishwashing area with 2 large sinks, storage shed for your equipment, and this year a large 36 m2 barnum will protect you from the sun or rain during your meals, with tables and chairs and of course sunlight.
A freezer is at your disposal 24 hours a day to freeze your ice creams, and you'll be able to recharge your phones and external batteries autonomously.
There is no electricity on site.
Drinking water on tap, and hot water from a dedicated tap.
I can lend ice packs and a cool box.

There are solar-powered lights wherever needed on the site.

We look forward to welcoming you to a charming and tranquil space, designed to ensure you have an excellent vacation.
If you have any special requests, please do not hesitate to contact me.
It is possible to privatize the entire site for family reunions, yoga classes, workshops of all kinds (camping site only or site + 4-person canvas bungalow), as long as the activities do not generate any nuisance.

The spots

Flat, shady, sandy grounds.
Freezer for ice cream. USB charging for phones.

Ideal for people doing the vélodyssée or the Chemin de St Jacques de Compostelle.
6 pitches without electricity, and as much as possible you can choose your pitch according to demand.

A very comfortable, fully-equipped canvas bungalow can be rented by us for 4 people, with electricity. It's located on the grounds a little way back, and you can consult my other advert on this subject.

Your request must be validated before we can confirm your booking.

The sanitary facilities

3 separate dry toilets, 1 dry urinal, 4 separate showers, toilet area and dishwashing area with professional stainless-steel double-bowl double-drainer sink.
Using a hot water tap, you fill a container inside your shower and spray using accessories supplied by me. It's basic but it works very well, it's very economical in terms of hot water and it's a real return to basics with the realization that you don't need 100 liters of water to wash or rinse yourself.
Unlimited access to drinking water.

Please bring unscented, uncolored toilet paper for the dry toilets.
We also ask you to bring eco-friendly products for washing up and showering.

The amenities

No campfires - barbecues possible when authorized by the mayor's office, i.e. outside heatwave periods.
You'll need your own camping equipment: tent, comforter, stove, crockery, etc. These are bare pitches. I only supply sanitary facilities and tables and chairs.

On site: 4G but no WIFI, which is in the village 5 minutes' walk away.

Space for washing up, but no crockery provided (except in the bungalow). I can however lend some accessories if necessary of course, I make myself available as much as possible and always try to satisfy the needs of my gambling guests.
I'll leave you to look at the photos and ask me any questions that aren't answered in the ad.
It's not possible to pull an extension cord, as this is a pitch without electricity, but with the possibility of charging mobiles at any time.

This site is not suitable for PRMs for liability and insurance reasons - I apologize.

The activities

Of course, cycling - the cycle path can be reached directly from the site in 3 minutes through the forest.
The ocean is 18 km away (on flat ground) by road or cycle path (50 mn by bike or 20 mn by car).
The beaches of Les Lacs - Gastes - Parentis - Biscarrosse are also accessible by bike, with a section on a small road.

Other things

Please note that the prices quoted are for a tent pitch.
Prices vary according to the season (high season from July 15 to August 19).
Unfortunately, the site does not allow you to allocate a price according to low or high season.

I give a discount depending on the length of stay.
Very long stays are possible (over 15 days).
For all other types of vehicle (caravans, vans and camping cars), please contact me, as I can accommodate them under certain conditions (no camping cars in high season).
For requests of more than 14 nights, please contact me to offer you a discount depending on the length of your stay.

The campsite is located equidistant between Bordeaux and Biarritz/Bayonne, south of the Bassin d'Arcachon and a good hour from Spain.
A few chickens will be your companions.
On the route of the Velodyssée.
The charming village offers all amenities and more - except ATM and gas station.
Tourist tax is charged in addition to the pitch price between June 15 and September 30.
Please be sure to give us your telephone number when you register on the site or when your reservation is confirmed, so that we can get in touch.
Gamping - gamers welcome.

Rules

Minimum 3 nights
We do not accept pets, even small and friendly ones.
Access by code gate 24 hours a day.

I only accept tents in high season. No motorized vehicles on the site to preserve the zenitude of the place.
This campsite is intended for people looking for a quiet place close to the ocean.
No parties - groups accepted if quiet - "Adults only" - children accepted from age 9.

The village is charming and typical - no timetables for entering and leaving - gates with code - Your belongings are safe - we live nearby and the site is fully enclosed.

For your arrival, we'll plan together according to your route and my schedule. Whenever possible, I prefer to arrive at 2 pm. But this is to be defined together according to your needs and my availability.

On departure, the pitch must be fully vacated by 10:30 am and left clean.

Garbage cans and selective sorting on site, but to be managed by you.

If you would like to make a reservation, please send me a short description including the number of people, the age of any children, and some information about yourself, and I will be happy to welcome you in the spirit of the site - which must remain calm and with a shared and respected ecological concern.

Don't hesitate to ask me any questions you may have, and I'll be happy to answer them.

  • We had a great time at this lovely, well-maintained and well-equipped place. It's a bit like a campsite, only smaller and more eco-friendly. Pascale is very welcoming. The only downside is that there are a lot of rules and a little too much rigidity for our liking.
