Description

Just 40 minutes from Paris's Gare de Lyon, come and enjoy unusual accommodation on the edge of the magnificent, world-famous Fontainebleau forest.

We welcome you to a large, flat plot with majestic pine trees.

In a quiet, leafy setting, you can relax in deckchairs or a hammock.

And, what a pleasure to be able to shower in the middle of nature in an all-wood shower after a beautiful hike or trail along the forest paths.

The setting

You'll be staying in a quiet, residential area. A bakery, restaurant, bar with sunny terrace, grocery store, bank and pharmacy are all within a 5-minute walk.

You're just 500 meters from the famous and magnificent Fontainebleau forest.

The spots

Your Tipi tent is spacious and very pleasant to live in. It allows 4 people to sleep in comfortable beds, with the wooden pillar that supports the Tipi in the center.

A large space at the entrance allows you to leave your shoes and other bags under cover.

The sanitary facilities

Dry toilets and shower with instant electric water heater available 24 hours a day.

The amenities

It's possible to connect to electricity outside the house, and we can provide you with an extension cord.
You'll be able to recharge your mobiles and tablets ad infinitum.

The activities

Bois-le-Roi is home to a pleasant leisure park with a lake and plenty of children's play equipment.
You can walk or cycle around the asphalt paths.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Château de Fontainebleau is a unique witness to almost eight centuries of French history, bearing the mark of the greatest sovereigns, from Saint Louis to Napoleon Ill.
Near the château, in the heart of the "Ville Impériale", you can discover the Fontainebleau market, narrow streets with over 400 traders, a 17th-century church, famous coats of arms, charming hotels and many other wonders.
The capital of horses, Fontainebleau is also a dream destination for equestrian enthusiasts and outdoor events. As the patron town of the Garde Républicaine, Fontainebleau is deeply attached to its age-old tradition.
For more than half a century, the Ecole Militaire d'Équitation (EME), one of the world's most prestigious institutions, has been showcasing its renowned facilities, including the magnificent Sénarmont riding school, and its traditional stables.
The Grand Parquet hosts events all year round, not only for horse lovers.
Last but not least, the Solle racecourse, one of the oldest in France, also welcomes visitors for races, in its green setting on the edge of the forest.
We are also partners of the Django Reinhardt Jazz Festival, and would be delighted to welcome you on this occasion.

Other things

Open all year round.

Special offer during the Django Reinhardt Jazz Festival.

Rules

We ask you to respect nature and our grounds. Everything is at your disposal without restrictions, but must be used with care.

You may meet other campers on the site in summer, and share the communal sanitary facilities (shower and dry toilets).

We have large garbage cans with selective sorting to be respected. Please see photos for sorting instructions! (I don't mind sorting after you :) )

There are also compost bins.

Smokers are asked to put out their cigarette butts with the utmost vigilance, and to dispose of them in a bag intended for this exclusive use.

As we live in a residential area, we ask you to respect the silence from 10pm onwards, for everyone's peace and quiet.

We offer your children the chance to play on the trampoline, ping pong, pétanque, basketball etc...

We devote the whole of the second part of our grounds to you, from the outbuilding to the back of the field.

We're not closed to the idea of accepting you in our first part, but we appreciate it when you ask, for example, for the children to come and have fun on the trampoline or watch the fish in the pond.

Finally, we ask you to respect our privacy from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on our first section of land.

  • I highly recommend this accommodation! We were very well received, communication was fluid. The spacious tent with real mattresses gave us a very good night's sleep. The hot shower, dry toilets and summer kitchen with table, microwave and fridge made for a very pleasant evening.

  • We were delighted with the camp's organization and warm welcome. We were annoyed by the weather, otherwise we would have stayed longer to go to Paris for the day. I'd recommend it.

  • It's a relaxing place with a change of scenery, perfectly suited to children. Our 2? year old son was able to run around the grounds in complete freedom and safety, discovering the games available and especially the two chickens! Sleeping in the teepee was a great experience: the pleasure of camping but in comfort with good mattresses. Thanks to Fabien and his family for the warm welcome, we'll definitely be back!

  • I spent 3 nights at Fabien's place in Bois-le-Roi and I really loved it. I was in need of nature and found myself in a totally different setting.
    I was very well received.

The Tipi and its bedding, at the top! The shower outside, my two new friends ????????
In short, I recommend this place for a total disconnection with finesse.

  • Nice setting, good location, and Fabien is a very welcoming host, eager to please. We had a good stay in the tipi.

  • Very good stay at Fabien's who welcomed us very well. Despite a terrible storm in the evening and all night, we had a good time thanks to the waterproof tipi!

  • The garden is spacious, very clean and quiet, the reception at Fabien's is very pleasant, responsive and reassuring. The other campers were very respectful. I slept in the big Saharan tent, with beds and blankets... I was only cold to go to the bathroom at night. Lodging very well placed for the hike in the forest, and not far from the station. The trails are very beautiful and not too difficult. The grocery store is at 2 steps and there is also a very good market in front of the station.

  • Fabien and his wife are extremely welcoming, responsive and attentive hosts! We feel at home right away! The tepee is superbly fitted out and comfortable. Ideal to recharge your batteries in a quiet place in the middle of nature. The sanitary facilities and amenities are clean and of high quality. In short, a perfect stay in all respects. I will definitely keep this address for my next stay!

  • It was my first time with HomeCamper and I just LOVED the experience!
We opted for a night in a safari lodge (ultra-comfortable, great luxury!) with our children, for an unusual experience.
Fabien welcomed us warmly, we really felt like we were staying with friends.
An English-speaking couple of vanlifers was also of the party, we ate all together around a BBQ.

Sharing, sun, conviviality, children who have fun, all the ingredients were gathered for a good evening.

What surprised me the most was the feeling of traveling when we were only 15 minutes away from home.

In short, I highly recommend spending one or more nights at Fabien's place: disconnection guaranteed!
We will come back for sure :)
