Description

the garden is in the early stages of permaculture, with dry toilets and compost....and space is available under a shed and in the garden for relaxing or eating.
the house is also a guest house, so there will often be people around at the same time as you, so everyone must respect each other and keep the noise down in the evenings

The setting

On the whole it's very quiet, sometimes a few cars pass through the street, there's a streetlight that's switched off after 10pm and the view looks out over trees where a stream runs.

The spots

There are currently 2 places where you can pitch your tent, one opposite the wooden shed that has been converted into a living room, and another in the garden opposite the outdoor table.

The sanitary facilities

There are dry toilets available for use at all times, otherwise toilets in the house are available, and a shower room is also available during the day.
There's a tap in the garden for filling water bottles and the like, and other facilities will be added later.

The amenities

internet can be made available via wifi, but the network is average given the thickness of the walls
the kitchen and utensils are available, but no microwave or kettle - everything has to be heated with gas.
salt, pepper, sugar, etc. are available.
there's an outside socket and a 25 m extension cord can be plugged in to provide you with electricity, but I'm also committed to reducing energy consumption, so don't leave your phone plugged in all night, for example.

The activities

There are a few velocipedes on site, as well as board games and other leisure activities.
A telescope for stargazing.
Otherwise, there's a lake in the village, with rest areas and games for children, and a fitness trail. The nearby Cher river is perfect for swimming if the water isn't polluted, or at least for picnicking.

Other things

There's a château in the village that can be visited in summer only, but is also very beautiful from the outside, troglodyte cellars can be visited all year round in Bourré, 4 km from here, and Beauval zoo is 13 km away.

Rules

Breakfast is served from 7 a.m. (except in exceptional circumstances), with arrival no earlier than 5 p.m. Smoking is only allowed outside, and ashtrays are available.
Children are welcome, as are pets, but they must be supervised as I also have 3 friendly cats, 2 of which are rather shy and fearful.

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€4 / person)

everything is vegetarian, so no animals!
milk, jams, organic spreads, fruit, coffee, tea, chocolate, cereals and even local cheeses to be taken "en terrasse", under the shed or in the kitchen if it's cold.

Tent ready

2 tents 2 places are available without mattress, lamp....and of course free of charge

  • Great welcome, in an unusual, natural and warm setting, thank you very much!

  • Renaud gave me a great welcome and was able to adapt to my situation. Renaud gave me a tour and explained all his projects. I recommend him if you want to get back to basics.
