Description

This property is in the heart of the southern Rockies. Nestled along a creek at 9300' , it is a "jumping" off point for scenic hikes and biking along the Colorado Trail. Peak climbs to 3 high mountain peaks start right here. Waterfalls galore on property and close by. Daytime temps are in the 70s with cooler evenings. This property is available to visit May through October. Truly magical. Happy camping...

The setting

Scenic veiws and waterscapes dominate the area. Serine setting and extremely private. No sharing with other groups. Hot showers, and large outdoir kitchen to enjoy.

The spots

This property is limited to one group at a time. Group size from 1-6. Three tent sites available to choose from, and plenty of parking. One site can be close to your vehicle, others are a short walk along the creek. So all you hear at night is water tumbling along the rocks.

The sanitary facilities

In the kitchen area there is a wash station with running water. Hot showers (yay!) are also available after a day of exploring.

The amenities

Close to every outdoor activity. No need to drive anywhere for hiking, exploring, biking, climbing, and swimming. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, 2 burner stove, fire pit with plenty of firewood. Internet is turned on 4 hrs./ day for your convenience.

The activities

In the heat of the summer you will stay cool here. Dip your feet in the creek, pan for gold, swim in nearby watering holes, go fishing. Its paradise.

Other things

If you are interested in visiting Durango, there are great restaurants and shopping downtown.

Rules

This property has a boulder that is house size. No climbing. No unattended fires.
