Description

Some of the best views in Chaffee County. Come camp on 2 acres of private land that is surrounded by USFS, BLM, and State land. We are only 2 miles from the 4-mile entrance on CR375. Endless views of the Collegiate Peaks and the Midland Hills. Unique access to fishing on the Arkansas River, trails through the midland, and bolted rock climbing within 5 minutes!! This is the hassle-free, unique camping spot that will save you time and frustration finding a good spot in the Buena Vista area.

The setting

We are open to friendly dogs and cats. We have chickens on site but they are in a safe and bear-proof coop. Each morning you will be welcome to 2 fresh chicken eggs if you'd like.

The spots

Our property does not have a pull-through drive, but we are capable of hosting the largest of campers/trailers, and multiple at a time.

Across the road is a unique BLM hiking trail leading to the Arkansas River, which is a flat trail and approximately 15 minutes to the water. Fishing opportunities are near perfect.

The sanitary facilities

There are no bathroom facilities on site. Please plan ahead.

The amenities

Wifi internet, horseshoe pits, tents, sleeping bags, pads, backpacks of all sizes, fly fishing poles (small fee), and water. Nearly anything you need for a day trip or multi-day trip into the forest.
