Description

Hello everyone,

I would like to briefly introduce you to our small mountain farm in the beautiful Bavarian Forest.
We are centrally located between the towns of Straubing, Cham and Viechtach, on the edge of the Bavarian Forest above the village of 94375 Stallwang, about 5 minutes walk to the village square.

The village square offers a bakery, butcher's shop, pharmacy, Edeka household goods store, bus stop... also a restaurant with good local cuisine.

Our small farm is, as already described, slightly elevated above the edge of the village with a beautiful view on the southern slope of the Gallnerberg.

As we only have two alpacas and cats, it is also nice and quiet. Central but still secluded.

Dogs are very welcome.

After a walk of about 30-45 minutes you will be standing on our local mountain, which, depending on the weather, offers a view of the Alps. We are the starting point for circular hiking and cycling trails and the Goldsteig hiking trail also passes us. A castle ruin can also be explored nearby.

We have space for up to three vehicles on our farm at the same time. Due to the distance of up to 30 meters, privacy is pre-programmed.
One parking space is located under the former stables on a path paved with grass paving stones, which can be easily reached via the road. Another is located above the courtyard (can currently only be reached by vehicles up to 6.4 m) with a view over the meadow and the village center. The third parking space is in the garden with a view of the alpaca pasture.

A fireplace with swivel grate invites you to barbecue. The wood is of course included. WC, electricity (6A), fresh water and gray water / bio-toilet disposal is available or possible. In the garden and also in front of the house the use of the guest WLAN is possible.
There is a solar shower in the garden which you are welcome to use.

For sociable evenings and bad weather there is a nice lounge with integrated kitchen, Swedish stove and satellite connection.

On arrival there is a small tour of the farm.

The contribution towards expenses is 22€/night and vehicle.

  • We had a few wonderful days here. The sites are very idyllic above Stallwang almost on the edge of the forest and are deliberately kept spatially apart. We felt very welcome and with a little driving the area offers a lot, for children as well as for adults. Those who are not put off by an outdoor solar shower will have a good time here.
