Description

Hello

We are Marion and Thierry.
Thierry, farmer since always on the family farm and in Organic Agriculture since 2001.
Marion, partner and daughter-in-law, settled on the farm in 2009, qualified equestrian teacher with the certificate of practice for the handicapped, is more particularly in charge of equestrian, educational, creative animations....

Today we are wine growers for the cooperative cellar of our village. We also cultivate vines for table grapes from August to October and black olive trees of the Tanche variety for local oil and retail olives. Since 2021 we produce our own half-complete flour T80 from our soft wheat and we complete the range with the small spelt speciality of our soil in grain and in flour. We make hay for our 2 horses and 2 donkeys. The horses and donkeys are present for the equestrian, educational and leisure activities, gently and at the pace of the animal, proposed and supervised by Marion. We are members of the "Racines PACA" network of farms for environmental education in rural areas.

After an interruption of our equestrian and educational activities, we wish to get back to work in a wider and more varied form with complementary practices. It has been a long time that we wish to welcome on our land for overnight stays. With our simple reception of campers and riders, we propose for those who feel the desire, some activities:
*educational and pedagogical workshops, and workshops of artistic creations around the living with a sensitive approach of rural ecology.
*animations around our profession of farmer.
*Discovery of the animal world, learning activities, sensations and emotions with horses and donkeys.

2023 is our first real year of hosting at the campsite and we are very happy about this new adventure that we propose to all nature lovers, those curious about the agricultural world, campers passing through and all those who just want to camp freely in a large space.
To begin the reception on this 2ha land, the facilities are simple and basic in a nice little wood a little wild extended by a meadow partly fenced to share the space reception campers / riders and horses ...
All the facilities are "home-made" with only recycled materials. This beautiful place will continue to develop and reveal itself over time while keeping its natural character.
We are doing our best to make sure that our new seeds of welcome... can bring you and us... pleasant shared moments and good and joyful memories.
We look forward to meeting you at the crossroads.
Thierry and Marion

The setting

This small wood bordered by its meadow is quite easy to access as the small communal road runs alongside the wood below.
*There are 2000 m2 of wooded space available for small and medium-sized tents, plus the fenced-in meadow of 18000 m2 to accommodate campers in caravans, vans or large tents and of course horses. For this year there is no shelter for the horses.
*The traffic is relatively calm because this road ends in paths. It is therefore used by local residents and farmers. However, you should know that the farmers can be early.
*The place is still wild and shelters many birds.
*We are in the south so we are lucky to have a lot of light, lucky to be lulled by the song of the cicadas posted on the pines and oaks, and lucky to be able to marvel under a beautiful starry sky.
*The landscapes are very varied, passing through vineyards, olive groves and forests, on the slopes of our beautiful hills at the border of the Drôme or going down to the river. The atmosphere is Provençal and rural under its beautiful and famous sun.

The spots

*We offer you tented pitches in the heart of the small wood and under the trees, in the shade or in the sun.
*For the convenience of access to the trees and for other parking areas, also between sun and shade, vans, motor homes, caravans and large tents can be parked on the edges of the wood on the meadow side (be careful to provide some wedges)
*2 parking spaces are provided 20m from the small wood to preserve the place and the peace of the campers. A nomadic wheelbarrow is available to install you.
*Some small natural areas are protected and marked.

The sanitary facilities

At the beginning of this adventure, we are very simple. Back to basics!
*You can use the dry toilets and have a solar shower, a sink and a washbasin for all your household needs. A large table is also installed for comfort.
*Please note:
-A tank of water arranged in the sun to heat is in place for the shower and sink. This water is not running and therefore not drinkable.
-Drinking water containers are placed on the sink for cooking, washing dishes, drinking...
-Another separate tank is used for the water of the horses at their dedicated park a little further.
*Waste garbage cans for selective sorting are also present.
*All the facilities are outside. They are grouped in different small islands by gender on a common space defined.

The amenities

*We ask you to be autonomous in internet and electricity. There is a fairly good network coverage.
*Everyone must bring their own camping equipment for cooking, taking into account that fire is strictly forbidden for fire safety reasons. We are thinking about the installation of a small barbecue.
*For the grey water of the motor homes, there is the possibility of emptying in Vaison-la-Romaine at 10 minutes on the area planned for this purpose behind the cooperative cellar.
