Description

Hello,

We are Marion and Thierry.
Thierry has always worked on the family farm, and has been an organic farmer since 2001.
Marion, partner and daughter-in-law, settled on the farm in 2009, state-qualified equestrian teacher with the certificate of practice for the disabled, is more particularly involved in equestrian, educational and creative activities....

Today, we are winegrowers for our village's wine cooperative. We also grow vines for table grapes from August to October, and black olive trees of the Tanche variety for local oil and retail olives. Since 2021, we've been producing our own T80 semi-complete flour from our soft wheat, and rounding out our range with petit épeautre, a local specialty in grain and flour. We make all the hay for our 2 horses and 2 donkeys. The horses and donkeys are used for educational, equestrian and leisure activities, gently and in step with the animal, proposed and supervised by Marion. We are members of the "Racines PACA" network of rural environmental education farms.

After a hiatus in our equestrian and educational activities, we'd like to get back to work in a broader and more varied form with complementary practices. We've long been keen to welcome overnight guests to our grounds. As well as welcoming campers and riders in all simplicity, we offer a number of activities for those who feel like it:
*educational workshops and artistic creations around the living world, with a sensitive approach to rural ecology.
*activities based on our profession as farmers.
*Discovery of the animal world, learning activities, sensations and emotions with horses and donkeys.

2023 is our first real year of hosting guests at the campsite, and we're very excited about this new adventure, which we're offering to all nature lovers, those curious about the world of agriculture, campers just passing through and all those who just want to camp freely in a wide open space.
To get you started on this 2-hectare site, the facilities are simple and basic, in a pretty, slightly wild wood extended by a partly fenced-in meadow to share the reception area with campers, riders and horses...
All fixtures and fittings are homemade, using only recycled materials. This beautiful place will continue to develop and reveal itself over time, while retaining its natural character.
We're doing our utmost to ensure that our new seeds of hospitality... will bring you and us... pleasant shared moments and happy memories.
We look forward to meeting you at the crossroads.
Thierry and Marion

The setting

This small wood bordered by its meadow is fairly easy to access, as the small local road runs alongside the wood below.
*2,000 m2 of wooded space is available for small and medium-sized tents, plus the 18,000 m2 fenced-in meadow for caravans, vans or large tents, and of course horses. This year there are no horse shelters.
*Traffic is relatively calm here, as the road ends in paths. It is therefore used by local residents and farmers. However, you should be aware that farmers can be early risers.
*The area is still wild and home to many birds.
*We're in the south, so we're lucky to have a lot of light, the chance to be lulled by the song of the cicadas on the pines and oaks, and the chance to marvel under a beautiful starry sky.
*The landscapes are very varied, passing through vineyards, olive groves and forest, on the slopes of our beautiful hills on the border with the Drôme, or descending towards the river. A Provencal country atmosphere in the famous sunshine.

The spots

*We offer tented pitches in the heart of the little wood and under the trees, in the shade or in the sun.
*For ease of access to the trees and other parking areas, also between sun and shade, vans, camper vans, caravans and large tents can be parked on the edges of the wood on the meadow side.
*2 parking spaces are provided 20m from the small wood to preserve the site and the peace and quiet of campers. A nomadic wheelbarrow is available to help you settle in.
*Some small natural areas are protected and marked out.

The sanitary facilities

At the start of this adventure, we're very simple. Back to basics!
*You can use the dry toilets and have access to a solar shower, washbasin and sink for all your household needs. A large table is also set up for added comfort.
*Please note:
A tank of solar-heated water is in place for the shower and sink. This water is not running and therefore not drinkable.
-Drinking water jugs are placed on the sink at will for cooking, washing up, drinking...
-Another separate tank is used for watering the horses in their dedicated park a little further on.
*Recycling garbage cans are also available.
*All the facilities are outside. They are grouped into different small islands by gender on a defined common space.

The amenities

*We ask you to be self-sufficient in internet and electricity. There is fairly good network coverage.
*Everyone should bring their own camping kit for cooking, bearing in mind that fire is strictly forbidden for fire safety reasons. We are considering the installation of a small barbecue.
*For grey water from motorhomes, there is the possibility of emptying at Vaison-la-Romaine, 10 minutes away, in the area provided for this purpose behind the Cave Coopérative.

With my 2 children we immediately felt at ease in this family cocoon nature space, where we could live a few days in a semi-wild space with basic facilities well thought out to be autonomous. An original place that offers many possibilities by listening! I hope to be able to come back longer and share together! See you soon, thank you from the heart! Sophie
