Description

We, and our animals, will be delighted to welcome you to our grounds, away from the town, surrounded by forest, fields and vineyards. You'll have everything you need if you want to be independent during your stay (kitchen, bathroom, dry toilets, etc.).

The setting

The campsite is located in the countryside, between forest, fields and vineyards. The only surrounding noise may be farm vehicles at certain times of year and hot-air balloon flights when the weather is not too windy.

The spots

The site is set in undergrowth. It's flat with shady areas where you can pitch your tent. For those who come with their own car, there's parking just a few yards away.

The sanitary facilities

The sanitary facilities are independent of our house, are open at all times of the day and night, and have hot water.
The dry toilets are also independent.

The amenities

The site is located in an area with no running electricity. We have solar panels, so the use of electricity is limited to the connection of small appliances (telephone, computer, tablet); small household appliances are not accepted.
An independent kitchen is open to travelers. You can use it to heat up your meals (gas stove) and store food in a cool place. Cooking equipment (frying pan, saucepans, crockery, barbecue, plancha, etc.) is available on site.
For a small fee, we can provide you with vegetables from our garden (depending on the season).

The activities

The region is famous for its châteaux (notably the Château de Chenonceaux, a 20-minute walk from the site), but you can also enjoy beautiful walks or bike rides in the surrounding area, canoeing and kayaking on the Cher river (just below the town), wine tasting, hot-air ballooning and more.

Rules

The place is open, so you can set up at any time of day, even if we haven't arrived yet.

As we have several animals (Vietnamese pig, cats), we cannot welcome your pets so as not to disturb ours. Thank you for your understanding.

As the site is located in a calm and peaceful environment, we thank you in advance for preserving its tranquility.

  • Pleasant hosts! Our stay was very short (12h). We were placed outside the fenced area and being on the edge of the woods, the children were very scared and didn't sleep.
    We would have liked to be placed on the main (fenced) pitch with the other campers so that the children would feel safe.
    The site is equipped with a dry toilet, bathroom and shared kitchen.
