Description

I welcome you 500m from my home, in the middle of the woods near a restored sheepfold.

The setting

We're in the heart of the Quercy triangle noir: no light pollution! The nights here are starry!

The spots

You can set up on flat, stony ground, with shady areas.
Easily accessible, you can also venture further into the woods...

The sanitary facilities

There are dry toilets and a non-potable water cistern on the grounds for showering.

The amenities

No equipment on the site, but I live nearby!

The activities

Without a car, you can hike or bike in the surrounding area.
The nearest villages are 12 km away.
We're at the heart of tourist attractions: Rocamadour, Padirac, Célé valley...

Rules

The only very important recommendation in the field: Don't set fire to it! The region is very dry in summer!

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€8 / person)

I offer a full breakfast prepared with local products: coffee, tea, chocolate, organic bread, sweet and salted butter, homemade jam, brioche, local cheese, dried fruit, organic or local fruit juice, yoghurt...served at home.

Situation
  • well placed for sightseeing
cool at night despite the heatwave
as described, non-drinking cistern for showering and dry toilets

downsides: you can hear the fast-moving road at night when it's quiet, we were bothered/poked by bugs (wasps attracted by food/sweat, horseflies, mosquitoes, spiders) more than we were used to (risk of camping)

  • Thanks to Corinne for her warm welcome. The sheepfold is beautiful and relaxing.
I recommend her organic breakfast, which is copious and delicious, with fresh, local produce. Excellent local farmhouse bread.
Many thanks to Corinne for her invaluable advice on how to get around Rocamadour like a local.

  • We spent a big week on Corinne's property. It's sublime, well planted with trees, with almost no traffic and a way to get out of the way. The dry toilets are very well designed and comfortable. The picnic table offers a comfortable spot for meals with beautiful sunsets. Last but not least, the large oak tree is a wonderful companion.
The only drawback is that a busy road runs nearby, but this didn't stop us from extending our stay.
What's more, Corinne is a discreet and friendly host.
In short, we can highly recommend this place!

  • Corinne made us feel very welcome and her property is a haven of tranquillity in a region as beautiful as it is wild.

  • It was really perfect! The place is great, not overlooked, equipped (picnic table and dry toilets ????????)
We could observe the stars and the milky way without any problem, a treat for the eyes!
Corinne welcomed us very warmly at her place! It was an unforgettable experience! I highly recommend it ;)

  • I didn't have the opportunity to stop by in the end! But Corinne was very pleasant and understanding!

  • Great host, easy access and very quiet. We had a good night and woke up in the shade.

    Thank you for the welcome

  • An atypical place, possible ballads on foot under the look of the deers.... a very nice bivouac, we recommend...Thanks to Corinne for the welcome and her first experience Home Camper ????
