Description

Quiet grassy land, ideal for a nature break.
Relax in a cosy corner with hammock and play area.
We have animals... Perfect with children.
We are 5 minutes drive from the city center, the medieval castle and the beach. The bike path passes in front of the house.
There is a free shuttle (bus) which passes at approximately 1km and which takes along to the beach of the veillon: the talmondaise.

Option WATER and ELECTRICITY for camping car and caravan : to be asked and paid on the spot : fixed price 4th for one day. No emptying.

Option for vans: Possibility to fill a water can, to use the solar shower and to plug in electric equipments (fixed price 3e per day payable on the spot), to put in the fridge and freezer for the evening and night in our garage.

The setting

No noise and no city lights. The bottom of the garden is at least 200m from the road. Apart from our house and a neighbor, the land is planted with trees, at the edge of a small wood.

The spots

You can park your campers and caravans along the wood. This is our second year so you can ask us where you would like to park and we will see together.
For the moment we accept campers and caravans. Possibility to put a tent.
We also have a tent.
Vans also for the night.

The sanitary facilities

For the moment we don't have a shower:
Just a dry toilet and a toilet in the garage for emergencies.
We have a portable solar shower of 8 liters in the summer. Perfect for 2/3 people. You have to fill it in advance and the water heats up in 2 hours. A can of about 20 liters will also be heated.
If needed, send us a text message before your arrival, so that we can prepare it in the morning.
For the shower, 2 choices:
It will be taken in a green setting, out of sight, on wooden duckboards. Very soothing. Some even took it at night under the starry sky! Others say that it is a return to the roots in a corner of paradise!
The other choice, shower in a decathlon cabin with suspended water.

The activities

News of the moment :
- we have chicks with our hens and rooster. My guinea pigs had babies in december 2022. You can come and pet them in my presence. Our ewe is pregnant.

At our place, you can :
play ping pong, basketball, rackets, balls, ball or even kite or bike ( kids!). See the animals. Go egg collecting with us. Observe the guinea pigs and the nature, its fauna and flora. Enjoy the hammocks, have a drink and a barbecue in the relaxation area with sofas and outdoor tables.

Infos and service in more: Possibility of asking the owner, who was guide of country, to see natural sites like the Point of the payré, the traces of dinosaurs, the beach of the republic, the guitière, the estuary and its parks ostreicoles, the whole accompanied by comments and anecdotes.

In Talmont itself, the animated medieval castle which offers a sound and light show with horsemen and fire-eaters and a fireworks display every tuesday of the summer (it is necessary to reserve online). The natural beach of Veillon bordered by a dune and its classified forest. The children's playground La Belière, the marina with its activities. The bicycle paths and the golf course (5 min by car)... there is so much for the nature lovers and the seaside pleasures. Of course, in the vicinity of Les Sables d'Olonne, a large seaside town. O fun park and o gliss park for families with children and teenagers. The cairn prehistoric site, the Clémenceau house... Many night markets... and so much more.

Other things

You will be welcome in the countryside, between the sea and the medieval city center. Our town is big and beautiful. You really have to come and discover all its facets...
We offer you a natural setting and favourable to rest, whether for the night or for several days...

Rules

For smokers: do not throw butts on the ground.
Respect other gampers during the day and evening.
For young children: never ENTER the pens (of sheep, chickens or guinea pigs) and be accompanied by an adult to see them.
Do not make noise from 10:30 pm to 8:30 am.

  • Enjoy your stay with Caroline and her family! Ideally located, at the foot of a bicycle path leading to the coast and close to the city. Quiet land with all the basic facilities (maybe a little problem in case of bad weather because everything is uncovered: dry toilets, shower). Weather was good for us, everything went well. Thanks Caroline !
