Description

The property is located in a former cottage area, but now also many have their first residence. The grassy site is level and is located directly between the road and the creek. However, the road is a dead end and the site is almost at the end of this dead end. That means the number of vehicle movements even a sawmill owner can count on one hand. However, when the weather is nice, there is quite a lot of bike traffic, because the bike routes of the Wied and for mountain bike tours is right outside the front door.

The setting

The place is dominated by the babbling of the brook and the singing of the birds. Other sounds are rare. It is surrounded by a lot of forest and greenery. There is no through traffic. The view is naturally rather limited in a valley. I think "peaceful" describes the atmosphere best. It is 2°C cooler here than in the Rhine valley, but especially in summer just wonderful!

The spots

As I said, the square is flat and overgrown. You can get there easily and place yourself as you like. There is relatively much sun during the day.

The sanitary facilities

I can currently only provide a hose and a cable reel. About everything else you have to talk, I'll do my best.

The amenities

I offer this season for the first time, so it's all still a bit improvised, but I do what I can and would like to soon offer more places and also a guest house (currently still in work) if there is enough demand.
But I basically have everything possible and I like to share it with nice people! That we have here rather poor network quality is for me a clear plus point... ;-)

The activities

The area is wonderful for hiking, biking and motorcycling. (driven myself for 30 years) To the Wied it is only about 3km via a well-built and paved road.
The Middle Rhine, Cologne, Bonn, the Eifel and the hinterland of the Westerwald are just waiting for you! Visitor mines, castles and palaces, small villages and towns lakes, vineyards, zoo and so on and so forth.
One of my best buddies rides enthusiastically Gravel Bike and is happy to give you a few tips.

Other things

Despite the relatively secluded location, there is everything you need within a short distance. -> 2 km: supermarket with bakery, post office, banks, a doctor, restaurants and even the public transport works - as a call cab even excellent and for little money to neighboring Bad Honnef. The stop is not 500m away.

The area is agricultural, and so there are also shopping opportunities directly from the producer, a real good butcher and so things in the area, I'm happy to help!

Rules

The property is freely accessible, so the arrival and departure can be made by arrangement at any time. Since we all like it here rather quiet, I ask to refrain from dissolute parties and too loud music, otherwise everything is allowed if you can be considerate and children are very, very welcome! Life can, should and may, we do it here yes!

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€10 / person)

By arrangement, I can gladly provide everything for breakfast. This will not always and every day go, but I try. What I then offer depends on you, eg vegan, vegetarian, or rather sausage and ham? Bread and rolls, or rather muesli and yogurt? This of course also varies the price....

  • Franz was great
My cable was not enough I immediately got a cable drum from him I was greeted super nice I got info where to do what etc.

  • Very quiet place with the chance to sit at the WoMo and enjoy nature. Franz has also put us a fire bowl for a campfire. Nice tips for an evening bike ride was included. Small drawback, the grass was a bit long and we took a few ticks home.

  • Very pleased with my stay at Frantz. I can recommend this host.
Didn't have much energy to speak alot with Frantz, because of my very long trip.
But I felt very welcome, had the choice of 2 patches of grass for my tent.
Frantz even offered me dinner and there was toilet option and running water.
Got to park my motorcycle and could listen to the small stream as I fell asleep.
