Description

When I was younger, I often had a bag on my back, always ready to discover new lands... nowadays, married to a farmer, my escapades are few and far between... so I'm delighted to welcome backpackers and families to our home... to whom I can show our lovely Auvergne region... to continue meeting new people and "traveling" a little with my guests.
Looking forward to welcoming you soon Agnès

The setting

The site is in the middle of fields for a relaxing stay in the heart of nature.
There's no light pollution, so you can admire the stars....

The spots

I offer you a tipi tent with 4 possible beds: a 2-seater bed and two single beds.
sheets and pillows are provided
the tent has only the sleeping equipment you need to bring your own cooking equipment .....etc
if you wish, I can provide boards with local Auvergne produce.

The sanitary facilities

I've built a shower cubicle in the middle of the woods with a small water supply (40 liters) that heats up with the sun.
Dry toilets are at your disposal, which you'll need to empty into compost before you leave.
You can fill your water jugs at the village fountains, or we can fill them for you at home.

The amenities

A table made of pallets and logs is set up under the trees, along with a slikline and a barefoot trail for children.
there is no kitchen equipment
it's possible to charge your phones on a solar battery

The activities

There are PR paths at the foot of the farm where you can stroll to the Chapelle Saint Anne, which offers a lovely panorama of the Sancy ... or choose to follow the stream...Saint -Saturnin is a small historic village classified as a "Petite cité
de caractère" with some lovely monuments...
You're close to Lac d'Aydat, where you can swim (10 kms), rent canoes, paddle pedalos...
In the village, you'll find a small grocery store, a bakery, a small bistro/tobac, and a Saturday morning market selling local produce. In the next village there's a very good pizzeria and a little further on ( 5kms ) a small intermarche...
On Wednesday evenings there's a big night market in Champeix (10 kms).
You can also canoe down the Allier or go to Vulcania, I'll be happy to show you around.

Other things

you can order baskets/boards with Auvergne charcuterie/cheese specialities.
Breakfast available at weekends for €6 per person.
The grounds are a peaceful spot in the middle of the fields.

Rules

take your garbage with you and put it in a bin in the village as there's no garbage collection at the farm...the refuse collectors don't come to our place...

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€6 / person)

Tea, coffee, chocolate, bread, butter, jam, pastries.
