Enjoy the River Rebel lifestyle on the eastern bank of the Buffalo River. This secluded site is bordered on the west by a natural cliff wall, by woods on the south, by a hand constructed wall, rumored to have been built by slaves directly atop the Buffalo River on the east and separated from the neighboring camp lot by a small shrub row.
Enjoy kayaking or canoeing from the easily accessible private launch area located right across from the private basketball court and pavilion.
Visit the nearby town of Linden Tennessee and see the historic Commodore Hotel or nearby Mousetail Landings State Park with a swim beach, trails and additional access to the water for larger watercraft.

The setting
The River Rebel's Buffalo River outpost is located at lot 70 of the Big Buffalo Camper Lots private community. Our Outpost on lot 70 is the second to last site of the community nestled between a sheer cliff wall and a stone wall ledge directly on the Buffalo River. While the northern neighboring lot 71 has occasional use, the southern neighboring three lots are fully overgrown offering almost total privacy and seclusion while offer a gorgeous river front camp site.
River Rebels offer this ~1/3 acre primitive site directly overlooking the Buffalo River in picturesque Perry County to up to four camp groups of 6 persons.
The sanitary facilities
This is a primitive camp without water, sewer or power. The nearest source of clean, safe drinking water available for purchase is the Food Giant store located 4.1 miles south on Route 13 in Linden, TN. Campers should expect to bring sufficient potable drinking water or have a safe and effective way to utilize the abundant water source of the Buffalo River bordering the property. Please plan to have a portable toilet, composting toilet or other reasonable plan to accommodate a primitive camp. The nearest public restroom is about four miles south. There is no power on site. Generators of any type, fuel or size permitted. Bring what you will need!
