Description

Connect with nature and still be in walking distance of shops, restaurants, parks, and pubs. We provide a sheltered space to park your camper/RV with direct electrical hookup.

The setting

It's in the city but doesn't feel like it because you're on five acres. There's a convenience store just a short walk away, as well as AT Still University. A 30 minute walk will get you to Truman State University and the downtown square, with shops, galleries, and restaurants representing a wide variety of cultures.
Byrd scooters are available around town for rent.

The spots

The spot is directly behind our home and we will do our best to help with any forgotten amenities. The ground is level, flat and covered in gravel. There is a clearing at the back of the lot that is for tent camping with no amenities.

The sanitary facilities

There is a water cooler on site for drinking (hot/cold options). There is no water hookup or dump spot, but you're very close to a state park where you could fill up.

The amenities

The shelter has an outlet for direct hookup. Wifi is provided.

The activities

There are tennis courts, baseball fields, a great fishing pond, and a labyrinth all around the corner. There are woods behind you for exploring and gathering blackberries or mushrooms.

Other things

Dogs love the path through the woods behind your lot! Watch carefully for other wildlife, as it is abundant here.

Kirksville is a very unique place. It's small enough that you can get from one end to the other in less than 10 minutes, yet it has everything you need. There are two big universities and a community college, a wide variety of stores to shop from, and authentic restaurants from various cultures.

A Thousand Hills State Park is very close, with a beach and lots of trails and shelters.

Rules

We greatly appreciate that our guests keep the area neat, and all trash in the can and covered.
