Ah Chicum Ek Is a little private place in the beautiful Mayan jungle of Quintana Roo México. We are surrounded by dense végétation . Everything is green as it is a medium jungle which means tallest trees are around 20 mts high . This place is full of life and is best for Nature lovers.
We are close to town 1km so it's pretty easy to go to the store for food and come back also close to Tulum city, just 22 km . So many things to see around like archeological sites , white sand beaches with turquoise colored waters, cenotes , national parks etc .There are so many activities to do around here, even touristic ones without staying in the tourist area which helps you save a lot on accomodations and peace of mind .Some travellers like to go diving or snorkeling before leaving the Caribbean and we have already the best contacts for that . We are the most economic choice in the area so you can make here your base and discover the Caribbean beauty . We are very much into art in all of its expressions so artists specially ( painters, sculptors, musicians , dancers ) are very welcome as we can learn from each other and maybe collaborate in a common project .
Is also possible to make sweat lodge ceremony and we hold other types with different prices like Weddings ceremonies , Cacao and also retreats for different purposes .

The setting
This jungle is just magick . There's a very relaxing atmosphere, the town is one km away so its sounds are far away , surrounded by green wild nature , birds singing as you wake up in the morning is great, beautiful wild animals could be seen like , foxes , monkeys , opossums, lizards , spiders , snakes , incredible insects , wild chickens , even deers and jaguars have been seen once in a while .
We have also a Cave in the land if you are into exploring deeper ????
The spots
We have rooms for one to six guests (*depending on Reservation ) , total number of beds 10 but some are matrimonial and some single , jungle style cabins , and outside shared bathrooms and showers . We have also space to camp and if you don't have a tent we can rent you one ☺️ .
There are fire places ,where you can pass some very cool nights or cook something if you like.
We have a sweat lodge , that means we can organize one anytime ..
We have a pool to chill and refresh 5 x 2mts and 1.20 mts deep .
We have also another little one that we use for the sweat lodge or perfect for kids .
The kitchen is common ground and there's all the tools that you need for cooking , also salt and sugar .
The sanitary facilities
Toilets are independent from the rooms , we have dry toilets not to pollute the ground , showers , no hot water ( is better hehe) but options to heat water if you want, no problem .
There's running water all the time, many of us drink this water which is coming from 24 mts inside the earth we just put some coloidal silver drops , is very good but a little bit heavy in minerals for some people .
The amenities
We have electricity, everywhere so no problem to charge your stuff .we will provide an extension cord in case you need it . Bring a lamp , is (email hidden)The kitchen is a common space with tools and everything you need to cook and tableware but no microwave or oven , we provide basic ingredients like salt and sugar .

Internet in Mexico is something you have to learn, there's packages when you have a number and you can pay your internet time it's by hours , days or month and is not very expensive if you use it only for the basic messages and Facebook , WhatsApp and twitter are free with any package and also unlimited calls and messages within Mexico, USA and Canada.
We have WiFi on high season and depending on the amount of of people that wants it.
If you need it for work is possible to connect in advance .
The activities
In site we have the best relaxing environment with a pool , a sweat lodge and a cave . There are many roads to walk , hike or bike around and we are surrounded by many turistic places , ruins , cenotes , beaches and other attractions and activities that you can do like diving and snorkeling on the coast. Also Tulum is 22 km for us so you can visit the city eat there or go to the hotel zone to the big clubs and bars without staying there which is super expensive.
We have a pétanque !!
Other things
There's public transportation from town to Tulum city every hour from 6.30 am to 7 pm .
We are 1km from town so it's easy to go buy food walking .
