Description

If you're looking for peace and quiet in a unique setting with a wide variety of trees and vegetation, you've come to the right place to enjoy nature with a capital "N". You'll be able to enjoy the shade of the negundo maple if a camper told us about it, and the tree is over 50 years old.

The setting

You'll be on a plot next to a tree that's over fifty years old, and in summer you'll be able to take advantage of its shade when the sun's heat is too strong. The location is very quiet and hidden from passing vehicles and road traffic. The vegetation is luxuriant and from time to time you may be visited by deer, which come only to feed on the land. There are also plenty of birds and chirping.

The spots

The site is flat, so you can set up your tent, caravan, Minivan or camper van.
It's easy to get to and from, so you can easily get in and out via another location. Several tents can be set up if there are more than two of you. You'll have shade if you're close to the tree under its branches and leaves.

The sanitary facilities

You will have access to the sanitary facilities and hot water in the home, the toilets and the shower. All you have to do is let us know when you want to take a shower or use the toilet. There's cold drinking water outside, with a fairly long hose.

The amenities

You'll also have access to the internet with the Wifi code if you don't have a mobile network, as well as an existing outdoor electrical outlet and an extension cord if you need one. So you can easily charge your laptops. However, we don't supply crockery, glasses and cutlery, nor the basics (salt, pepper, sugar...).

The activities

There's plenty of woodland in the area for walking.
You can also go horse-riding close to where you are staying, but you'll have to go by vehicle or bike, provided you give advance notice and book in advance. You can also visit a listed Château (since 2019), which is about 400 meters from where you are. You can visit it during opening hours on foot, by bike or by car.
If you're coming by bike or mountain bike, there are plenty of trails to let off steam in the local forests, as long as you respect nature.

Other things

All shops and supermarkets are 5 km away, which you can reach by bike or car. There's also a lake near Bazas, but swimming is not allowed. On the other hand, you can visit the town of Bazas and its cathedral, which dates back to the 14th century and has never been finished, as well as its square, where there's a market every Saturday.

Rules

Easy access for pitching a tent or several tents, a caravan, a Minivan or a camper van. Smokers are welcome, and ashtrays are available. Please respect nature and the place where you are staying, and children are welcome. For the schedule of your arrival call us to know if we will be present and if you wish one or more breakfasts which will be served between 8H00 and 9H00 and also to let us know minimum 48H00 before your arrival, the number, and what you want to take. Thank you. The two Patrick's.

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€8 / person)

Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Please let us know 48 hours in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements. Freshly-brewed coffee beans or green or black tea, or chocolate milk or café au lait with a slice of butter and homemade jam or nutella and a glass of orange juice.

  • Very warm welcome, ideal location in the shade of the negundo maple (ash leaf maple)......non it's not a ginko biloba....;)
    thanks for everything Patrick's

  • Excellent, everything as described, great welcome, Patricks
Very helpful. I was able to install my van under the beautiful tree. I highly recommend the place

  • I spent a great weekend at Les Patrick's ! The site is really nice, very close to the center of Bazas by bike, in an extremely calm environment, and a magnificent starry sky, without light pollution. Patrick and Patrick are extremely friendly. They welcomed me very warmly and I spent a pleasant moment to discuss with them.
Only good surprises on the practical side: it was easy to agree on a time of arrival and departure, possibility to have electricity in the garden and I was also able to let my soaked and rain-soiled clothes dry in their veranda, which saved me the trouble to leave the next day.
Bonus point for the adorable Garou who only asks for petting.

Thank you again for your welcome and it is with pleasure that I will come back to your place during my next trail in Bazas!
