Unusual accommodation in VILLERET, a village of 65 souls.
Once horse-drawn, this nomadic dwelling enabled gypsies, showmen and travelers to move around with their families as they traveled, as a place to live and as a working tool. In 2019, our horse-drawn caravan has travelled 17 km to settle permanently in VILLERET as an atypical place to stay, offering all the comforts of a mobile home (bed made up on arrival, towels provided) with a change of scenery guaranteed!

The setting
In the middle of our garden, calm, serenity and rest will be the order of the day amidst the songs of a multitude of bird species ...... La PARENTHESE is the perfect name for a break with the comfort of a mobile home, but where you'll be surprised by the atypical nature and change of scenery. Before handing over the keys, please let us know (by e-mail) if you would like us to deliver your breakfast (optional, price €7.50/person).
The sanitary facilities
La Parenthèse is equipped with a bathroom with toilet, shower, washbasin and WC, hairdryer, 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 bar of soap/person.
The amenities
The kitchen is fully equipped with: SENSEO coffee machine, kettle, two gas burners, fridge, microwave, toaster, etc., crockery, pots and pans for 2.
All electrical equipment is located in the apartment.
There is no internet or TV connection, but 4G works very well!
The activities
You can hike the trails around the trailer and go fishing too!
A fishing lot along the Voire is available for you to picnic or stroll along the water's edge...
Surrounded by greenery, you can enjoy pleasant walks or bike rides (rental available from "VELO DE LA VOIRE (phone number hidden), to be requested several days before your arrival)!

If you're a lover of nature or a new concept, meet Stève GONTHIER at the Jardin des Cinq Sens for your organic vegetables on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Gérard ROLIN will be your ornithologist guide for a discovery outing (prices and information on request).
Your stay (2 nights minimum) can be enhanced by an Amma Assis (€25/pers./20min session) and/or an aloe vera facial workshop (€6/pers.) to be specified when booking by e-mail.
Whether on foot with a backpack or by car, your route stops for a night or more in search of the authenticity we simply share with you.
All local services are located 6km from VILLERET (Bakery, Proximarché, Pharmacy, Pizzaobox) in the commune of CHAVANGES.

Our motto is to be your ambassadors for a region that we are particularly fond of during your stopover... The "Eglises à Pans de Bois" (Wooden Churches) tour will allow you to marvel at an architecture that is unique in Europe!
If you're interested in French history, the Musée Napoléon at Brienne le Château, 14 km away, will whet your appetite. As will Colombey les Deux Eglises, 42 km away, where the Memorial in memory of General Charles de Gaulle will help you refine your knowledge of him. At the Musée du Der in Sainte Marie du Lac-Nuisement (40km), you can find out all about the creation of Europe's largest man-made lake: the Lac du Der.
