Outstanding-
Roger M.Lucy and Francesco are a great couple, building an eco paradise in the mountains for themselves and their young family. It is a beautiful spot with plenty of space to set up among the olive trees or in the open. They are improving facilities all the time, but their determination to use only recycled materials (inside and outside their house) means that, as another reviewer has said: don’t expect comforts. It’s camping! But Lucy and Francesco go out of their way to help and provide, and couldn’t have been more attentive to our needs. And we were needy, because we were there in a heatwave! Dolianova is worth a visit for the small but very interesting ancient cathedral. It’s a 15 minute cycle ride down hill; - quite a bit longer coming back……
At the time of our visit the approach road to their land was quite overgrown, and in our 7m long, 3m high camping car we had difficulties avoiding scratches. Francesco and Lucy know this is a problem that they have to address, and may even already have cut back the trees and bushes to provide clear access. Still, worth checking with them before you book. -
