Description

If you are looking to reconnect with the essentials in the heart of the Normandy countryside, and are looking for both an atypical and somewhat unusual place, then you are in the right place :)
I live with my 10 year old daughter, our 2 dwarf goats (in an enclosure), our 3 free-range chickens (who can stay in their henhouse if you prefer), and our young Bernese Mountain Dog Bella, who is adorable but a bit of a glue-pot (with me, rest assured!).
We are very concerned about the environment and have at heart to leave room for biodiversity ...
Oh yes, I forgot, we also have a house under construction (hence the caravan).

The setting

We live on our land in a beautiful caravan! :) and yes we will be in the garden with you! But don't worry there is enough space here for you to settle in a quiet corner ;)
We are nature lovers and we love our trees and our garden. We are fortunate to have a beautiful orchard that provides us with an abundance of apples every year :)
The grass will not be cut everywhere... but a more "maintained" space is present on site so you will have the choice to set up wherever you want.

The spots

You can pitch your tent wherever you want on the garden side or under the trees, in the shade or in the sun as you wish! The terrain is fairly flat. Some small areas are mowed and others are not to encourage the biodiversity of the place ;)

The sanitary facilities

You will have access to the common dry toilets. An outdoor solar shower will be at your disposal (in the absence of sun I will fill the reserves of hot water of course!)

The amenities

On site, you get very good internet but I don't have wifi though.
You will have access to a caravan's overhang, semi open chalet type, which is a common space for you and me :)
You will find there a small living room where you can settle down by the fire, a table to eat, a gas stove to prepare your small dishes, a fridge that we will share without worries, a sink to do your dishes with an access to hot/cold and drinking water. I have a toaster, a kettle and a coffee machine. Please note that I do not have a microwave.
I can lend you plates, cutlery, glasses and pans if you need them :)
This small cottage has electricity. It is possible to connect an extension cord.

The activities

On the grounds, you will find different areas:
- a relaxation area with hammocks,
- hanging chairs under one of the trees;
- a small tyrolienne ;
- a trampoline ;
- a swing ;
- a slack line;
- board games are at your disposal;

Activities in the surroundings :
- At the end of the street : walking or biking in the Eawy forest;
- At the Grandes Ventes : horse riding;
- 2.5km away : visit the animal park "Rêve de bisons" where you can admire North American bisons but also 4 packs of wolves in semi-liberty (catering on site)
- Canoeing from the "Bison Dream" (one hour descent on the Valence river, followed by a 20 minute bike ride back to the starting point);
At 5kms : fishing ponds
At 8kms: V1 Val Ygot site
At ...kms: museum of the clock industry
À ... kms: castle of the small Hour.
To ...kms: the green avenue "London-Paris".
At 10kms: golf of Saint Saens (18 holes on a park of 80hectares)
At 15kms: nautical base
At 25kms: Dieppe and its seaside;
At 50kms: Rouen and its 100 bells

Other things

On the spot there is also my house under construction... hence the caravan ;) so there may be some supplies from the construction site around the house... but once in the garden they are no longer visible...;)

Rules

The rules are those of respect and benevolence of each one towards the others: children
and adults present, whatever their culture, their belief or their religion...
And also the respect of the place and the animals ????????
If you are smokers I will provide you with a ashcan;
For the garbage cans I practice the selective sorting: a glass and sorting garbage can are available and buckets for your food scraps (the chickens love them;) and your compostable waste will be lent to you ????.
Access to the site requires my presence at the time of your arrival but afterwards you are free to come and go as you please.
A private parking lot is available at the entrance of the field. Your car will not be able to access the garden, but to help you carry your things I have wheelbarrows. ????

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€5 / person)

Organic apple juice from my orchard (depending on my stock, or from the shop...)
Organic coffee, organic tea, organic cow's or vegetable milk or chocolate milk,
Fresh bread
Homemade jam (or store-bought if I run out, which should not happen ;)
Viennese pastries.

Tent ready

I have a large Quechua family tent, with 2 bedrooms for 2 people and a small living space in the middle. The price is 10e/night/person for this tent and 6e for children under 12.

I have a bivouac hammock for 1 person with mosquito net and comforter for 10e/night.

I also have a suspended "Romantic" tent in which it is possible to sleep 2 adults for 10e/night/person.

For each of these facilities, I can provide if needed: inflatable mattresses and comforters, a lamp, a small gas stove and its refill, a folding table, folding camping chairs, cutlery, pots and pans :)
