Description

Welcome to the "Du chêne à la Lune" estate. We are two families with 2 and 3 children aged 6 to 12 respectively, living together on a magnificent 2-hectare plot of flamboyant, fairytale forest. Through our association, Le chêne et la lune, we aim to "Contribute to the development of a more harmonious eco-system for humans and nature, through the creation and development of a resource center combining artistic, cultural, social and environmental practices".

The setting

The estate is located high above a small Tarn village of 200 inhabitants, Mouzieys-Panens, with a breathtaking view of the medieval town of Cordes sur Ciel. Somewhat isolated from the village, the estate offers you a rejuvenating space close to nature, which is both lush and reassuring thanks to the enveloping shape of each small clearing of verdant trees. The result is a connection to inner calm and serenity.
Every evening, you can watch the magic of the celestial spectacle as the sun sets and the moon rises!

The spots

The site is made up of several small clearings, both shady and sunny, depending on the time of day:
- tipi clearing: furnished and unfurnished tents available
- camping plot: bare pitches for tents
- caravan village: bare pitches for caravans and camper vans
The site is mainly flat, with an access road for camping and caravanning. However, we invite campers to leave their cars in the parking lot to preserve the peace and quiet of the site.

The sanitary facilities

The site includes two outdoor sanitary areas, each with a dry toilet and a solar shower.
Two other dry toilets are also available on site.

The amenities

A plot is dedicated to catering (minimal and outdoor) with tables and chairs at your disposal. You'll find: barbecue, electric hob, Fridge and freezer, crockery area, coffee machine, basics (coffee, tea, sugar, salt/pepper, etc.), plates, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans...
An outdoor electrical point with several sockets is provided in the same plot. You'll need to make a few steps from the campsite to recharge your cell phone.

The activities

The estate is at the heart of a region that is highly attractive in high season, thanks to its rocky, verdant landscapes criss-crossed by vineyards, its preserved heritage, the expression of its traditional character, and its strong, deep-rooted history.
TOURISM AND HERITAGE: medieval villages, craft shops, vineyard markets...
ARTS AND CULTURE: Albi national theater, Colombier theater in Cordes, numerous summer festivals!
ENTERTAINMENT AND LEISURE: climbing, canoeing, swimming, hiking.

Other things

We have a strong artistic and cultural component. We offer a space for artistic practice in our barn, and workshops and cultural events can be organized during the summer.

Rules

We accept pets, but we ask that dogs be kept on a leash on the estate.
There are no entry and exit times, as long as you are on foot and respectful of local residents and other home campers. Cars can be left at the entrance to the estate.
